That would be hilarious. He was an amazing keeper, played forever for us, even fought the other goalie once who was the best man at his wedding. He was a lot like Dawson for us in that respect, gave his all for the club and basically his entire career. Just the type of player that we should be looking to sign, someone young who is incredibly loyal.

I was on about the Thai keeper lol.

In GLP's original post there were two commas used. Each was in a separate sentence. Both commas were unnecessary. That bit Cortez picked up on and made a statement.

Your correction to Cortez's sentence should have been either:

a) Neither use of the comma is correct
or
b) The use of those commas is incorrect.

NOT "Neither use of those commas is correct.", because two adjacent commas were not used.
Each comma was unnecessary. I acknowledge your understanding of grammar, and I assume you do of mine, but enough of this; please post me privately about your opinion on the two or three people I perceive as out-of-control cyber-bullies that need to be outed. This forum has in the past been brilliant, and could be again, but these bad boys need to be prevented from destroying it.

If we're looking to sign someone who is loyal isn't that counter-intuitive? Anyone who is loyal would rebuff us. The only 'loyal' players we could find would be in our youth system.

I have no opinion on the subject you mention. Each man for himself. I ignore such childish activities.

No you can sign loyal players. Sometimes a player moving to a bigger club works out for everyone. Dawson for instance was signed from Scunthorpe he wasn't from our youth system.

I know it isn't always the case, but it does seem a funny concept.

I wonder if we got promoted and Dawson was moving on, if we could tempt Chez to come back. He always struck me as pretty loyal.

Bad luck smartharse beat you too it, however, you have got the first post of the next ten thousand.

Not bothered really, mine was more a celebration of reaching that goal than actually getting the goal itself.
Two shay uni boy. How much in debt are you so far gaining you're superiour edukashun? FFS
You sound like someone who has been turned down when asking for a date ;)
TWT as always

Was Dawson his own agent?
No idea. He was loyal and may well have squashed his agents attempts to move him on. More likely his agent was unusual and respected his wishes. Hard to say. The most likely explanation is that MD liked Hull (Yorkshire lad), his family were happy & settled etc etc.

As things stand currently, we have enough strikers and despite their relegation clauses, they're still on big money. That being the case, I understand why we need to get rid of one before we bring in another, we obviously expected to have done so by now.

It's frustrating, as we obviously want Gray and he wants to come to us, but it is what it is (personally, I'd have taken Torino's loan offer for Hernandez and gone for Gray, but it's not my money).

Re the earlier point about the number of loans in the Championship, you can have up to nine in a match day squad.

My only real concern about outgoings, is Dawson.

If Gray is entitled to any form of loyalty bonus, he may himself be able reduce Brentford's asking price. It would certainly demonstrate very strongly his desire to come here.
I can imagine that his agent will be having a very carefully worded conversation (So as not to cancel said bonus if it exists) with them very shortly.
