I think we though Hernandez would be gone and I am pretty sure we need to shift another striker before we commit to another contract.

I can't see it being about the small change now.

I think we have lost out on the Italian clubs choking on the 9 million euros fee.when we started bidding he looked a goner and I reckon it's more significant that some think.
Although I'd rather him gone and Gray in I think that he could do a job at this level.

I'm not convinced City currently have the firepower to convert enough chances that will come our way. This lad from Brentford might be the final peice of the jigsaw or another waste of wonga. It's Bruce's call,he ****ed up big style last season in my book, taking the club back up again would make the club look better in the shop window and attract any would be be buyers.

Appleton OUT.

It is only £7m though, it could possibly rise to £9m but the original fee definitely isn't £9m
There's no "could possibly" about it - the total they are asking, so we are led to believe, is £9 million. Just not all at once. If you were buying him with your money you would have to earmark a £9 million spend.

No, it's potential. £7m is guaranteed and then there are add ons which may or may not have to be paid. I very much doubt that Proschwitz cost the reported £2.6m nor did Ince cost the previous reported £2.2m. Clubs like to inflate figures so that it pleases fans

The 2.2m was set by a Tribunal, so I'm very sure Ince cost 2.2m.

If we get promoted and trigger the £2m in add-on's, well have an additional £60m to take it from, we don't have to earmark anything.

It wasn't set by tribunal, we agreed the fee with Blackpool and we paid £1.6m, the rest was add-on's that we never triggered.

<doh> So that tribunal hearing and the setting of a mandated fee we had to pay Blackpool that was only settled about six months after we bought him was unneccessary because we'd already agreed a fee?
