Hey
Apologies re lack of news as I am in Spain and will be for a few more days. I have met a young Spanish lady so you can understand my hands are a little full at the moment. I will sms our kid when I get a few mins for updates on the Brentford lad and Maloney.

Cheers Vern, keep us all in the loop. Your info is the best.

That 'imaginary' Spanish lady probably knows more about City's transfers than 'our kid'.

Trabzonspor launch bid for Hull City striker

Trabzonspor have launched a bid for Hull City’s striker Abel Hernandez according to LigTV.

The Black Sea based side recently completed the transfer of Dame N’Doye from the Championship side and are now looking to add the Uruguay international to their squad.

LigTV go onto state that Torino are also interested in signing the 25-year-old who used to play in the Serie A for Palermo.

Hernandez provided one assist and scored four goals in 26 appearances for Hull last season. Despite having three years remaining on his contract with the Tiger’s, the Uruguay international has signalled his intention to leave following Hull’s relegation from the Premier League.

The 25-year old has eight goals in 19 international appearances for the Uruguay national team.

Trabzonspor have had a busy summer bringing in AZ Alkmaar goalkeeper Esteban Alvarado, Okay, Alper, M’bia and Cavanda over the transfer window.

The Black Sea based side finished last season in fifth place and are currently managed by Shota Arveladze.

I'm finding our transfer activity more frustarting than normal. Usually we are linked with more players but once it becomes official that they are a target - the offer, medical and signing seem to come relatively quickly. This time around we seem to have been firmly linked with far fewer players but the negotiations don't seem to be going anywhere.

I'm beginning to think that our deals are based on us shipping players out and that the Allams aren't wanting to invest money but waiting until we have shipped out our final dregs before we go ahead with the deals. On this basis - once Hernandez/Jelavic move on (god willing!) we might finally see some movement.

I wonder if FFP has a lot to do with it, perhaps the need to move on the `bigger` earners is a must to comply, bit I agree it does seem that negotiations are rather protracted. Also as OLM has mentioned earlier in the thread, with Ehab currently concentrating on the Airco Arena case he may have put any negotiations on the back burner.

I think today is the last day of the court case, so hopefully at least that will be out the way.

Unless they lose.

Can't remember exactly how much it was but I'm sure we baulked at something like 3.5M that Cardiff were asking for him a few years ago before Leeds picked him up for virtually nothing a season or so later.

Think you might be right re FFP.
