Or maybe he hasn't been scouted, or maybe clubs have gone for him and he's turned it down, you have no idea of the circumstances. The standard of the whole league isn't representitive of all the players who play in that division. He's scored 45 in 92 from midfield, that suggests that, if anything, he's too good for that league.

I'm not comparing N'Doye to him in terms of player ability, but most people hadn't heard of N'Doye before he came to us and he did alright, coming from a league not as good as ours.

He might be half decent but he'll be a pile of ****e this time next year so it does seem a silly transfer when we don't have money to splash on one season. We should be looking for players who will offer something for a few years.

Yeah you're right. We should be releasing Dawson, McGregor, N'Doye and Jelavic and all, no need for transfer fees.

I'm basing my opinion on the quality of Maltese football. 51st out of 54 UEFA club competitions; only Gilbraltar, Andorra and San Marino are worse. Russia is 7th, Denmark is 24th and Greece is 14th so at least N'Doye has played in leagues with quality in them. Are you really trying to compare N'Doye to this guy? No offence to him but if he was good enough he'd be playing for a club in a league that wasn't 51st out of 54 in UEFA's club competitions right now and not still stuck playing in Malta.
He's only having a trial FFS, it's not like it's been signed sealed and delivered, if he doesn't impress it's back to Malta. If he does then good look to having a break in the big league (compared to Malta) at his age

Got family who are dye hard west ham fans, say that over the last two seasons Nolan is the shadow of the former player he was and his legs have gone, now we already have a very pedestrian Huddleston in the middle, while I`m sure his desire would be good I just don`t think pairing him with the likes of Thudd would be a good move, the same really with Palacios. If we are going to get some midfielders in then IMHO we need someone who has the ability to go box to box but also has a bit of pace about them to `cover` for Thudds lack of it.

He put in some great performances for the Hammers last season in the games that I saw - Chelsea would be one. He's the sort of experienced pro that will get you nearer promotion. He wouldn't play every game, but he'd have a positive impact in and around the training ground.

It seems this Maltese chap, despite being listed as a midfielder on most these crappy football websites, is primarily a left back who occasionally plays on the wing.

Potential Brady replacement then, looks like he'll probably be gone if we're taking this chap on trial.

Agreed he would have a positive impact because the guy is a `winner`, but I am going on fans who watch him week in week out when fit and playing.

I remember a fella by the name of Michael Mifsud who came from Malta, and was an absolute gem for Coventry a few years ago!

If he's good enough - I'm happy.

let them have a bidding war & we get as much as we can for him! Again for me no one has left who I don't think we've not got cover for! Brady is good but not great! How many games have seen him really do the business? Not enough 8/10 performances for me!

Am I the only one who thinks £8m is too little a fee thats been touted for Chester, I honestly believe he's worth at least £12m.

I believe this amount because if a defender from the championship with no prior premier league experience and no international experience can get sold to a premier league club for £8m then Chester with the added experience is worth a lot more
