If we carry on with 3 at the back next season he'll almost certainly start alongside Dawson & Chester so it's highly unlikely we'll be selling him.

'cuse my ignorance but what are the implications of him signing with U21 as opposed to Hull City AFC?

It means he'll be here until he's 25, not play a first team game, go on loan to a conference side, make two appearances, get released and end up at Afc Hornchurch.
