Danny East to York or perhaps Rotherham, Townsend and Bradley on loan to Scunthorpe, that would be perfect for us, the other clubs and the players

Fat bastard is at Rotherham though and he saw East play against Crawley last season, when East played frankly shockingly, so I can't see that happening. I rated East in the reserves, but whenever I've seen him play for the first team whether it be pre-season or cup game he's stood out as the weak link. Perhaps a loan would be helpful but I don't see him ever being Championship level. Don't think Bradley is up to it either, never really impressed me. Cooper on the other hand seems more likely to have the potential to be a decent player and I think Townsend looks really impressive. I know the old staff/development staff saw Townsend as the real star of the youngsters and from what I've seen I'd be inclined to agree. He was very good at Grimsby I am told, so I think he's earnt a loan to a League One club. I reckon he'll be our best left-back within a year or two.

At 20 years old you would expect East to have more than one appearance at pro level, a loan is a must for him

With Sunderland looking at Aiden McGeady and Scott Sinclair, might free up Elmo to come on loan to Hull as he wont see first team football

Would be better, but I'd guess he'd cost around £2million +

From what I've read, sunderland fans would happily drive him to hull. Also read that he's been very inconsistent and his crossing was poor. He may be better as cover for rosie but would he be keen to come if he won't be first choice?

I'd choose him other Stewart at RM, and i think partly the reason Sunderland fans are so annoyed with him is because he impressed on his loan move and when he became permanent he barely got a chance as Bruce was gone shortly after.

Sunderland fans I know tell me he's utter ****e. I don't get the obsession with him. One of Bruce's 'worst' signings, quick - but can't pass, shoot or defend.

Is he an Egyptian David Beresford?

Whatever the Mackems say, I think he'd be great in the Championship, he's a decent right winger who can cover at right back and he's exactly what we need.

If they're willing to drop him off, we even save the cab fare.

That's the problem though, he's not a very good right winger, and he's also even worse at right back. It's a no from me.....if you can't deliver the basics ie pass/tackle/shoot/defend, it doesn't matter what league you're in, you'll still be ****.

McClean - Arguably Sunderlands best player under M O'N, was overlooked by Bruce! Now he's a proper winger.

Only a good idea if McLean is part of Bruce's plans longer term, we might have DJ Campbell to fit in up front soon as well, which would surely be the end of either Simpson or McLean's time here.

Hearing Hull City will pursue interest in Sunderland's Ahmed Elmohamady. Martin O'Neill willing to let him out. #hcafc #SAFC

    Good news!

I would not send anyone to play for Steve Evans so that would rule out Rotherham Utd,, imo. York would be perfect for Danny East.

Yes he needs to play each week and a team like York City would be ideal. The few people who keep going on about how poor Danny East was against Crawley town need to watch the game again. Upto his booking East was doing fine. That rash tackle and booking curbed his game. I rate East but like Townsend needs to play at a lower level for now. East has time on his side. ffs, as an example, Ian Wright was a late starter(22) when he started at Crystal Palace in 1985 and only got his big money move to Arsenal in 1991. We should learn after the likes of Walters and Andrews to name just 2.

I dont see Scott Sinclair leaving Swansea for Sunderland but it does appear that Elmo is toast under MON so working under Bruce and our owners could well happen.

Lol. Think Crystal Palace are first in line for Macca.

DJ Campbell in talks with ZOLA about a move to Watford.

With a point to prove Elmo will be a good signing. He always played well under Steve Bruce when i saw him. We need 2 more wingers to add to Stewart and Aluko. Elmo and King would be ideal. <ok>
