It didn’t all happen on the Prem board. The vote thread that brb created here had some very out of
date words / insults on it. Words that may be thrown about like confetti on the Prem board but very disrespectful here. Really disappointing to see.

It’s not perfect here but we like it.

I dont know what the word was tbh as I left the site when I saw how it was going, . Maybe Chunks should have done likewise, but we are all different , and there is room for all , our mods are OK , that,s why I voted early on. Apologies if I put my foot in it, but we do have a thread for humour which I very rarely visit and never contribute, so that might tell you something . Keep posting .

I left this board a number of years ago because it had become too abusive and there was a lot of misogyny. I joined Cyprusyd's board, it was much friendlier although not a lot of posters and ultimately closed down. Since I've come back here, I've noticed a significant change and the board is generally respectful it's a great place to discuss Sunderland in a reasonable manner. I've no idea what went on last night but it appears to be a bunch of idiots being idiots. Shouldn't be allowed but it happened. The board will likely survive with 99% decent posters. Shame to lose a good one but that's his choice. Others will not come on here because of some of the outdated attitudes to women expressed at times. I'm glad people are standing up for Chunks though. Shows a decent bunch at the heart of the board.

You might have some slight credibility if you just said you'd come on here to bring down a Mod because you wanted to and because a poster with a grudge had asked you to ...

You know for a fact that no trouble would have been caused if people just voted and didn’t comment, and you also know that the locals started throwing insults around before any of us visitors did. You also know that none of us would have been back if the two muppets didn’t head over asking for afters on the PL Board.

The best thing to do at this point is everybody stfu about it, hopefully your little pal changes his tampon and comes back to the board for all of your sakes since he’s such a lovely guy, then we can all move on, the vote, although corrupted appeared to be fairly unanimous so those complaining about Gordon can now also stfu and stop pestering brb.

And as Saff has politely highlighted, others need to reign their **** in as well, as right now they’re just hypocrites.

If you wanna carry it on then crack on, I’m sure you’ll all be happy on your little WhatsApp group where no foreigners can comment.

The next best way would have been a poll with a proper explanation, no snidey smart arse comments.

And as for "everybody stfu about it" I notice you didn't follow your own advice, still got a couple of digs in.

 

I missed the whole thing so can't comment on whatever went on but Chunk was a great poster and I will miss his input on this board.

Mods on whichever board, like refs, are on a hiding to nothing as some people think they should be perfect - maybe thinking they get endowed with flawlessness along with the job title.

I'll take this opportunity to add my vote in favour to the opinion poll.

You could have said the best thing people could do was to draw a line under the events of last night and move on, but no, you wade in and tell people to STFU

Plus you then, despite having blasted posters for going on to another board 'for afters' do that very thing, having a pop at Chunk, someone who isn't here to defend themselves and you already know is sensitive to insults, what with them feeling so maligned that they left the board.

This is hardly following your own advice about shutting up and moving on.
