Only a few people, who saw yesterday's thread, would think it's anything less than shameful especially when anyone, children included, can come on to read about SAFC, etc. There seems to be quite some jealousy about how good this board is and how all kinds of people, strangers mostly, get along despite their differences. The fact that lots of us actually go to matches, meet up and have a laugh seems to aggravate them even more.

I find it pathetic that they should plan 'an attack' on this board and form a little circle to boast about it and lick each others arses. But that's just one of the hazards of coming into contact with idiots on the internet which we can all handle. What's unacceptable is when insults become deliberately hateful, the site owner encourages it and decent posters decide it's too sick to tolerate. Chunksafc is a better poster than all of these weirdos put together and will be a big loss. I personally don't feel like posting on here if this kind of thing is deemed acceptable. When people decide to ruin this board because they don't get their own way there's something really wrong imo.

I've had quite a few messages from people who feel the same including a couple who post a lot and seem universally liked, plus one who isn't a frequent poster but makes a big contribution. I'd like to invite @brb to explain yesterday's debacle, hopefully apologise and ask Chunks to come back on. If he isn't big enough I think it'll leave a nasty stain that won't wash away.

It's just a chat forum that's supposed to be a bit of harmless fun, not a platform for people acting out their weird grudges.

@brb has been tagged numerous times about last night on various posts, but has so far not had the decency to come on and explain why he thinks its acceptable to not only allow something like this to happen, but to also join in on it aswell, and even encouraging his mates by liking the posts they are posting.

What the **** did i miss? Chunk's a good lad

One of the best. He was bullied off the site last night whilst the owner sat back and watched and then he pulled the plug on him when Chunks asked to be de-activated. Shameful

Firstly, tags don't work (and haven't for ages), but most importantly I'd like to thank everybody for your support last night . . . . to have that vote 21 - 1 in my favour from the regulars on this board is brilliant :emoticon-0148-yes:

I had to keep off the thread to ensure that it was as neutral as possible, and, even though it was a disgusting and embarrassing thread, it definitely served a purpose . . . . thanks, lads <hug>

n.b. I'll do my best to get Chunks back :emoticon-0148-yes:

****ing disgraceful, SOunds like the trolls found an easy target. Typical ****ing keyboard warriors.

Probably 7 stone wringing wet and wouldn't have the balls to say it to someones face the lot of them. Hopefully Chunk comes back as he's a good lad

Missed the vote but will happily make it 22-1 for a fiver

The clowns who posted the thread obviously expected loads of their chums to swamp the board ...

... when they didn't it left the half a dozen dopes exposed like peeping Tom's when the security light comes on <laugh>

It was cringeworthy watching them posting the link to our threads on their board last night, practically begging for other posters to come on and back them up.

Internet boards need good owners with solid morals. Words, even though they are on a screen, have significant meaning and at times, can really impact users far and wide.

Any sniff of a gang mentality, using inappropriate and very harmful speech must be stopped in its tracks with harsh sanctions. Otherwise, if becomes a total mess, unchecked and many posters can be affected by such negative language.

It really only takes a few to start the pile on and it can have extreme implications away from the internet. I have experienced this previously and it's a real pain and impacts things. Some individuals may not have the currently ability of close support to wash that off and get on with things.

Just remember, trolling and bullying on the internet can damage and spoil people's view on things.

Sort it out. Be better, and the owners or whoever is allowing this need to have a good look at themselves.

Obviously l missed this last night and have no idea of the goings-on, that said it very sad to hear that anyone should be picked upon on a chat forum and @Smug in Boots rightly said that we may disagree about a subject matter but just agree too disagree and move on.

This board is how it should be, cracking fans, good posters and good banter and l hope @Chunksafc reappears unscathed.

24/2
