... is almost upon us and all that it brings.

It's a time when everyone can forget any differences, celebrate the season and feel like we're all part of something ...

    ... whatever we believe.

I may be on my own but every year, no matter how remote the possibility may appear, a little bit of magic always seems to happen. As Bill Murray says in 'Scrooged' you just have to open your hearts and have faith in the decency of mankind or wherever your faith lies.

It's wonderful to have faith in the decency of the posters on here, there can't be many more honest forums. People discuss their issues openly and I genuinely feel we all get something from the place, more than just a bit of footie chat and banter.

We're having Christmas Day in Mansfield for once and will have our family around us. We've rented a holiday mobile home in Derbyshire before we start our next mission in the New Year, but that's another story for another day.

In the meantime let's all post a few photos, have a few laughs and let the jingle bells ring <laugh>

Well instead of working over Xmas and New Year, I've taken Xmas off and me and the missus are heading to warmer climes for the big day - still working over the New Year though but thats the joys of working shifts!

I will post again later but this will be the 2nd Christmas where it will be just me my good lady and my son.
For the last 10 years or so I have had a full team of out, sorry in laws. I provide the venue, the food and the drink. These sponging b*stards never even turned up with a bottle of milk never mind beer. Did they offer to even buy the turkey or a joint of meat? Did they f*ck.
So although that may sound like a rant it's generally a very happy post from me.

    Good OP my fine fellow

As a few may already know, I work at the Marie Curie hospice in Newcastle. Every year the maintenance lads decorate the gardens which all the patients rooms look out on to. Last year they made this train, and it has gone back out again this year. The pictures really don't do it justice, so I will try and get some Monday morning while it's still dark, to get the full effect of it all lit up. The "Snowman" is suspended by wires, and again, looks brilliant lit up.
The reindeer and sleigh were all made by them as well....
They do a cracking job, the view from the rooms looks amazing.
Couple of pics for now though....

Our first christmas at home and really making the effort this year with decorations and a couple of tress as we have the space now.

Can't wait to meet up with family over Christmas and New Year and just enjoy it.

Will get some photos when the boss says the decorations are finished :emoticon-0102-bigsm

My tree's not "up-up" yet, but it's "up".... been "up" 7 years.
This is it in January 2022, ready to go back in the loft.
