1. You admitted that was his personal aim not the clubs... You knew the aim was 17h you've just admitted it

I’m not disagreeing that you can be bad and still do a job.

Your resurrecting Bruce to prove that is not proof as he never did do a job. He didn’t meet his stated aims never mind mine. His was tenth or higher and he failed his own aims and then moved the goalposts when he knew he had failed. The man was and is a charlatan.

If only it was all genuine. I accepted he changed his aim part way through a season to 17th because he was failing and clearly wasn’t going to achieve his “real” aim of 10th or higher.

So if you’re prepared to accept his lies as to what his aim was then you’re right but you’ll be lonely in that belief. For me his “genuine” aim was 10th or higher and he failed to match his expectations and aims. So Bruce didn’t do a job. It’s quite simple really.

No. His aim initially wasn’t seventeenth it was mid table. When we were performing badly he changed his aim to seventeenth.

Ashley’s aim was seventeenth. I would agree with that but not that initially it was Bruce’s aim.

This isn’t actually correct. He wanted to aim higher and wanted to target above and beyond.

But when he couldn’t he adjusted his own targets to what the club had set was survival.

If he had come out and said my target is 17th he would have got crucified.
