Which ones. Just interested who you think is good.

The recent one the 90’s boy band lad. He looks a good player but adapting to the premier league isn’t easy. He could well be a 90m flop.

Trossard for 21m is a bargain for Arsenal however quite how he fits in is going to be interesting.

Chelsea sign another player for 30m. What are they going to do with all these players. They can only register 25?

The striker in particular nkunku .. any signing is a gamble but fans tend to make a judgement based on their emotional preferences at this stage.

Fancy Chelsea to finish the season strong personally.

    Some big games today

    Carmavinga set to sign now.

Don’t forget that it will take time to blend all of these lads into the side. Just look what forest were like in the first few months.

I have to say whenever we've played Everton I'm always concerned about Gordon. He can be quite dynamic sometimes and he gets a lot of free kicks. Full of energy too, and opposing fans hate him. Maybe Eddie can work his magic? Either way, we need someone quickly! Also, if we get him it increases the chances of Everton going down!! For that reason only, worth a punt!<laugh>

My hatred of Everton stems from an away game in the 90's. Having a pint in a pub outside their ****hole of a stadium, saw some of their fans push over an old fella selling NUFC pins and badges and give him a kicking. Police just stood and laughed. Hated them since then. ****houses!!:emoticon-0121-angry

Graham Potter knows he's made a huge mistake going there, you can tell.

    Looks totally fed up already.

See UEFA are assessing the rules to limit future contracts to be paid over a maximum of 5 years, following Chelsea's cheeky way of manipulating the system.
Too late to stop the deals they have already done though.

See, I think they (FIFA/UEFA) are, as usual, applying the wrong solution to the right question. For me, there should be no 'contract'. You just become an employee of the football club, permanently, until your employment is terminated. So the only thing a player can "negotiate" is a notice period, but similarly they cannot just **** off whenever they want, they have to have justifiable cause or - of course - be bought.

Would help reduce the insane transfer market, stop cheating bastards like Chelsea finding more and more ways around FFP, and so on. Effectively, it's reversal of Bosman and a return to something normal.

But all employees have some form of contract.

What would happen when players get to, say 35, the club just keeps paying them because they are an employee?

Likewise, you can't just terminate employment for no reason and without owing the person some contractual benefits.

Agreed, you can't - which protects both club and player, as long as they're working as expected. Y'know, like in the real world! Each contract could have a retirement clause, typically 35, but could be more or less depending on player/club.

If he can get them playing and end the season with like a 50% win rate, he can resign and get himself another job.

That would be my focus personally, **** long term, get a decent win rate and then run

    Never ends....

Chelsea consider new Fernandez bid | Blues in talks for Lyon's Gusto

Chelsea are determined to sign a midfielder and right-back this month, despite already spending almost £500m on new players this season.

The Blues have signed 16 players since Todd Boehly's consortium purchased the club last summer, but remain keen to add to head coach Graham Potter's squad during the January window.

Enzo Fernandez is still a target and Chelsea are considering making a new bid for the Benfica and Argentina midfielder.

The west London club tried to sign Fernandez earlier this month, but talks stalled after Benfica insisted he could only leave if his £106m release clause was paid.

Chelsea have tried to negotiate a lower fee and are keen to send players on loan to the Portuguese side as part of the deal.

As well as a new midfielder, Chelsea also want to strengthen in defence, with a young right-back being targeted to provide cover for Reece James.

The Blues are in talks with Lyon for Malo Gusto, but the French side want to keep the 19-year-old until at least the summer.

Well obviously their Youth system isn't/hasn't been working very well for them to buy a gazillion number of players in the last two transfer windows.
