Off Topic Chelsea

I was wondering whether it has something to do with the debt cancellation by Abramovich - it has generated a balance sheet profit that means they have more to spend on new players. Although I thought FFP was meant to relate only to P/L based on operational revenue and expenditure.
This - I didn't think the debt came into it in this instance.

Bank balance - player purchase x circumference of the earth+ combined weight of Chelsea trophy cabinet X cash bribes= You spend what you want boys.!!

Sooooo... another excellent (but lengthy) piece by Swiss Ramble.

Conclusion
Chelsea will clearly have to be conscious of Financial Fair Play, but their big spending does not automatically mean that they will fall foul of the regulations, especially if they maintain their profitable player trading model (assisted by the accounting treatment of transfers).

As it stands, it looks like they will be compliant with the Premier League’s Profitability and Sustainability regulations, though they will have a few more challenges with UEFA’s FFP, due to the smaller losses allowed. However, even here, the new rules that will be implemented from 2023/24 will allow them more scope.

Chelsea can improve matters this season with some player sales in this transfer window, but they could also worsen the FFP situation with further purchases (there is much talk about Caicedo and Noni, for example).

Most importantly, if they fail to qualify for the Champions League, then all bets are off.

There's no way they are getting top 4 this season.
They'll get a slap on the wrists and normal service will be resumed...

We've a long way to go with revenue generation and the improvement of the club's business model till we are able to have the level of agility that the Man U, Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea have. Arsenal and Spurs are still behind those 4, but we've got a gap to bridge to them equally.

They have lost 7 games already, 10 points behind us, they won't make that up, i'm more worried about Liverpool or Spurs.

They're a different side so means nothing .. two losses for us, two wins for them and all of a sudden you'll think OK they're not far behind.

Things can change very quickly just ask the entertaininers.

There's a long way to go.

The bookies have Brighton ahead of them.

There's just no chance of them being top 4.

By the way, was this really off topic? Cos it's about football.

By rights this thread should have contained nudes of a porn star called Chelsea.

I'm most worried about Chelsea. They've so many players out injured who'll come back sooner or later. Add that to them potentially spending £150m in January.
Potter can't be too confident though, especially with many of their fans wanting shot of him.

Following the garbage on CFC Twitter, most of their fans seem to be from Nigeria and know absolutely nothing about football.

Somethings got to give there - they must be looking to offload players desperately.

Currently to play across the front 4 (RW CAM LW CF) they've got 13 players and then add 4 CM's in Kante, Jorginho, Kovacic, Zakira, 5 CB's,4 FB's and 3 GK's??? Its bizzare:

Loftus Cheek
Gallagher
Mount
Pulisic
Zyiech
Havertz
Aubamayang
Broja
D Fofana
Sterling
Mudrik
Felix
Madueke
That's HALF their 25 man squad for strikers?

Gallagher is probably up for grabs maybe Pulisic.

Pulisic is crocked, along with loads of others, so can't offload some. Their issue will be not naming them in their 25 man squad and then they come back from injury. Then what?
