If you mean that you think he'll get no more minutes than he got on his début, then I agree with you. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he sat on the bench for both matches. If he starts in either then wait for the noise of someone falling over. It will be me fainting.
These are competitive matches with qualification at stake. Lambert's best chance strangely is if England are desperate for a late goal.
SENIOR SQUAD CALL UPS FOR WEEK COMMENCING 7TH OCT: Artur Boruc - (POLAND vs Ukraine & England) Dejan Lovren - (CROATIA vs Belgium & Scotland) Gastón RamÃrez - (URUGUAY vs Ecuador & Argentina) More to follow...
Will Artur Boruc be in goal for Poland? Would be an interesting game with Rickie trying to beat his team mate
Be fun if Boruc could have one of his barmy moments and bring Rickie down in the box for a penalty. We could then watch several minutes of other players trying to get the ball off Rickie.
England need a win too, Artur could become very unpopular outside of Southampton. Cortese, Reed, Santa, or whoever decided to sign him, thanks.
Mick Channon's England era. Played in the game, I think. I can just see the Polish striker beating Norman Hunter on the ball, out on the touchline, then beating him for pace before crossing a low ball to his teammate. Oh, lookie here: Didn't remember Micky scoring a disallowed goal. Excellent commentary by Hugh Johns.
Yep. Been waiting for the news conference to begin and there was the text already there below the screen saying... Coming up England News Conference.
He might have said the same about Boruc. He played with, what looked like, a relocated finger, after dislocation. Bet that was sore.
Certainly for those days. I believe Martin Peters revealed later, after he'd retired, that he'd dived.
