With Rickie away for pre season and now off on international duty that little baby will never learn to recognise her Dad.

 

She's not that old, Godders. She was born after he came back from Spain and Austria, but he was away for a few days with England, it's true. I'm guessing the old short term memory isn't what it was..? Bet you can remember the 1950's as if they were yesterday though.

 

i'll be coming back from Austria this night 2 weeks with hopefully 3 points in the bag

I like internationals, especially when Lambert is involved, but I prefer the opportunity to get points. The international break makes life boring.

 

I struggle to wait a week between Saints matches. Luckily we had a cup game this week so it wasn't too bad. Now we have an international break I will go nuts! I kind of miss the League one days when we still played due to no international call ups. How far we have come...

This'll be the first international break, possibly ever, that I'll have an interest in as Lambert will possibly/probably get some pitch time. Lallana didn't have a hope in hell of playing last season, so I barely raised an eyelid.

 

Now Lambert is England's poster boy...let's face it the first thing of interest for some time...I'm waiting for him to be wheeled out for prematch interviews to get the punters interested.

 

Is it just me who'd be surprised if he got on for any reasonable amount of time?

 

I assume Nat Clyne wasn't called up due to not being 100% fit..?

 

Nope. He's 22 now.
