Is it just me who'd be surprised if he got on for any reasonable amount of time?

If you mean that you think he'll get no more minutes than he got on his début, then I agree with you. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if he sat on the bench for both matches. If he starts in either then wait for the noise of someone falling over. It will be me fainting.

Mick Channon's England era. Played in the game, I think. I can just see the Polish striker beating Norman Hunter on the ball, out on the touchline, then beating him for pace before crossing a low ball to his teammate. Oh, lookie here:
