So Ched Evans has been jailed for his part in a sexual assault, and will now spend 5 years in jail (from what I've heard).

Now I don't know about you, but I think we could say that Evans is a player we would have looked at with his record this season (28 goals and 12 assists in 35 games), and while it is unfortunate for him, it is his own fault he's chucked his career away.

What's everyone's opinion on this? Is it just me who thinks Evans could've been, or maybe even has been, a target for us, and of course the big question is will he/should he play again (in the light of Marlon King's case)?

Sentenced to 5 years in prison.Total joke. He'll serve 2-3 years and then resume his career, like Marlon King. Scumbag.

This player shouldn't be given the time for thought on which club he might have ended up at. Imagine if that were your daughter, and he was charged with rape.

I fhe can get himself back into shape after he's out, I see no reason he shouldn't play again.

Looks like Pards got it the wrong way around...

Sentencing in rape cases is way too low in my opinion. However, hopefully this will serve as a warning to the many young men who think sex with a woman so drunk she can barely stand up is a perfectly fine thing to do, when it clearly isn't.
