I am older than you and therefore have experienced more SAFC-related misery. Take my word for it...I was born in 75!

Never argued your point at all fella - but, depending on how much older you are, you also experienced one of our most triumphant moments too! (If you remember Richie Pitt and Dave Watson you almost certainly did!!)I am older than you and therefore have experienced more SAFC-related misery. Take my word for it...
You'll be a big Steve Berry fan then MBCI was born in 75!
McCann played for England as did Tony Towers, we've had a few canny ones . Just not enough.DIdn;t think McCann was a great player but Schwarz was - still think M'Vila and Kirchhoff were better as a CM pairing
As did Carlton Palmer!!McCann played for England as did Tony Towers, we've had a few canny ones . Just not enough.
Think I was about 10 when he signed! Hardly even remember him!!You'll be a big Steve Berry fan then MBC![]()
Not to my knowledge, but its not rocket science. Have we dominated a game this season, for me only in patches, the best performance I think was the first half against Portsmouth at Wembley where Catts and Leadbitter dominated the game, I think they could do the same on Sunday with Power playing deeper allowing the full backs to get forward and Honeyman in front playing in a freer role behind Wyke. Its not perfect I admit, but it gets our best players involved. I think we need to look at all our options, and maybe a surprise or two would not go amiss.A diamond , have we played that yet this season ?
We had him around the same time as Rae, McCann, Schwarz, Eric Roy, Fredgaard, Kilbane (2000-01). Schwarz actually rarely played in the centre of midfield though. Most of his games he played on the left of midfield. I vaguely recall that Hutchison often played on the right. Both Johnston and Summerbee had left by this point which is represented in the fact that Phillips only scored 14 league goals that season.Who partnered Hutchison? God, if he had stayed longer you never know.......

Stefan Schwartz and Gavin McCann takes some beating.
I think he did play there sometimes. With the lack of decent wingers in that squad, I think Reidy did a fair amount of experimenting and chopping and changing.Fair enough. I though he was central but my memory is trash.
I remember it well! Little did l know that we'd have won **** all else 46 years later!! We've had some good times since though, not least the six in a row.Never argued your point at all fella - but, depending on how much older you are, you also experienced one of our most triumphant moments too! Nope! Strange to hear that @clockstander - it's either absolute genius or pure madness to try something completely brand new for the biggest game of the season? If it works (not that I thik we will play it), absolute genius. If it doesn't, pure madness!!

DIdn;t think McCann was a great player but Schwarz was - still think M'Vila and Kirchhoff were better as a CM pairing
Absolutely - better to put it out there than say "I thought this might happen"!!Its only a suggestion on a forum Markus. But just what if he did play it , ( I dont think he will either by the way ) , we wallup Charlton 4-0, and then I claimed in hindsight that I had thought of the possibility too, would anybody believe me, I doubt it.![]()

I was 10 mate - only memories I have from that part of my life which are vivid are about operations and (relatively) serious injuries I suffered!!Was up there with Whitley Marcus, you'd remember if you'd seen him .
Hope you enjoy being in a good place on Sunday night to make up for it, I was 10 when we won the Cup and remember every game, it was unreal.I was 10 mate - only memories I have from that part of my life which are vivid are about operations and (relatively) serious injuries I suffered!!
