Wonder what happened to fan.

Fan was trying to persuade me to buy one of those crazy ass Elgrand jobbies a while ago. Complete with shag pile carpet and Pakistani decorative tissue box.

You can fit about 4 bags of spuds and some lettuce in the back of a Focus RS Mk3 if that helps bro.

Cheers bro. I’ll be over some time next week. Decent of you to swap your RS for my old shed. Appreciate that.

That’s the equivalent of driving to the moon and back and then deciding you’ve not driven far enough so you drive the entire way round the world.

So far, the suggestions are:

A blue one
Robin reliant
£30k RS focus that I can strap a sack of spuds to the roof.

knew I could rely on you guise.

You're gonna get a wide range of views mate. As everybody thinks they know best and what one person advises, then next will tell you not to go for it.

Personally always gone for BMW/Audi/VW. Reliable German units that if looked after will go on for ever, so service history is important if it's a high miler.
you mean those ones with the dodgy sensors?

Wonder what happened to fan.

I banned him from here, so he was just left with GC. He posted on there for a while, then just disappeared, without any help from me. He could be here with a sock, but ive not noticed anyone with his type of posting style, although that LFC lad can't half go on <laugh>

Well proof in the mileage, that it's a good thing.

I don't know why they don't do it in all diesels tbh. Cambelt failure is catastrophic so they need regular changing, which is an expensive routine maintenance issue. The engine in my van is the same lump that was in my Touareg. 2.5 chain driven diesel.

Most of the mileage on my van was done as it used to be an airport shuttle bus. So it went from Plymouth to London, Birmingham, Manchester, etc. Motorway miles mainly. But the old girl is getting tired now and I don't want to sink any big £££ into it.
