Diesel is well on the way out ... good points already made above
Family member just received a brand new 330d, a model that's now been discontinued because they don't want to put 6 pot engines in these cars anymore. Dealership was actually confused and kept saying it was a 320d, but it was bought and paid for just before the plant stopped taking orders on that model so one of the last off the line
It's a shame because these diesel engines have got some proper torque under them, x drive as well so it goes through all the wheels nicely, but the culture and the industry are moving on
Car itself is lovely ... I'm not such a fan of where they've taken the exterior styling but the interior is really nice, fancy lights that change colour and touchscreens everywhere, all that. I've got a 2017 2 series and it feels like going back to the f*cking stone age getting in that now after driving the new model
German cars represent a good choice on the used market, high quality all over, reliable, stylish, previous owner has taken the hit on depreciation having it from new, so there's decent value in them too. If looked after properly these cars are good up to and beyond 100,000 miles, that's high mileage but they go and go
