Think that's a 530i The one I was looking at is a derv. But the road tax is £330 so I think I'll swerve it. Loads of E61's around. Just seen another one from a dealer in Bristol for £3k. 140k on the clock, tons of history, comes with a warranty. 520d touring on an 08 plate, road tax is £150
Did I ever tell you about that time ..... Probs will as it goes if I get it. 177bhp stock. Could turn that into a nifty 220bhp goat shagger for a couple of hundred beans.
Just been out for a spin in my younger brother's new 2016 e350. Looks like this one. It's stupid ****in fast. My words when he floored it "****in hell".
Which variant is it? I've always been underwhelmed by Mercs in terms of performance, apart from the top spec top money AMG stuff. The rest just seems overpriced, underpowered for me. The interiors are lovely though and that's where your money goes because it's normally not on a sporty powerful engine
Yeah, that's what happens when you have a family and a dog. The last decent car I had was a Toyota mr2. First child on the way and the mr2 gets binned mercedes e350 amg night edition estate. Its got the 3.0 v6 turbo diesel.
Im only gonna spend £3k on it so it only needs to last me 2-3 years. I don’t live anywhere near a city so I’m not gonna get hit with any congestion charges. I’d get an electric car if I could afford it. But I don’t have a spare £35k knocking about. If the Govt want folk to drive Electric cars then they are going to have to massively subside and incentivise it, because they are simply out of budget for most folk.
I think there are cars out there powered by petrol that have less of a carbon footprint than some electric ones. Until that changes then don’t talk to me.
There’s no reason not to be able to use 100% renewables for electricity. But there’s huge issues about mining the materials like lithium for the batteries.
The major manufacturers are already in the process of setting up recycling plants for the batteries. The battery cost is currently what’s holding the entire EV market back, as the production level increases the cost per KW price will drop rapidly, but it’s a bit chicken and egg at present.
