If mandy was from any other club I think most would take him, ideal for MON's type of play, so it all comes down to his Newcastle routes, can he and our fans overcome them?

I have no idea about him but there is no doubt a section of our fans would never accept him, not saying thats right or wrong but it is, IMO, fact.

That one fact, a very big fact, would rule him out for me.

Don't care who's better Mandy or Bendtner, cos we are getting Fletcher, or so the rumours have been for an eternity.:emoticon-0105-wink:

They're both fairly similar players in terms of hype and ability. I'd have Carroll every time though because something about him tells me he's a game winner.

Can everyone honestly say if Carroll was playing in red and white stripes and was presented with an open goal vs Newcastle he wouldn't do a 'Chopra'. Once a geordie always a geordie imo. Steer well clear.

I fail to see how Greggs has any real consequence to the number of illegitimately conceived children. Major factors would obviously have to include cultural and philosophical attitude shifts in line with the development of Western science, which have rendered religious marriage ceremonies redundant to some, as well as larger urban populations and the migration of different customs and values. However, I suppose it is reasonable theoretically to note the concurrent and parallel development of fast food chains and the media-sensationalized obsession with "instant gratification", which is promoted as reflecting the lazier or more lackadaisical attitudes towards life we are now supposed to have, entering post-Christian stoicism. Surely a well-informed individual like yourself will provide a schematic overview to your understanding of the issues you've promoted, beyond any numbskull interpretation a thick, sarcastic Geordie like me would be able to put forward? If so, please share. I'd also like a copy of the figures you're working from, sounds like a fascinating and detailed study you've been doing...

I must admit that is an excellent reply and much better thought through than my simple fat geordie bastards post.

I think Syd hit the nail on the head. If he was from elsewhere no problem. I honestly don't think he would bottle a chance against the mags, he is a professional after all. There is a section of our fans who would never accept him and with this in mind it will never happen.

WHU put a £17 m bid in for him !, that means they and QPR mean buisness what will our biggest signing be?. We are worse of striker wise than 2 years ago.

For now... Remember, you could sign one very good striker, and use Sess as attacking midfielder/striker and then use the other assortment to cover for injuries etc. It's far too soon to be down-hearted, Martin will be working on deals <ok>
