Try some proper cider, it is very nice. Magners whether on draft or in a bottle isn't one of them. Neither is Bulmers, Strongbow and other similar ones.
I am sure Chazz will agree. Unfortunately decent cider in a pub is mother easy to come across in pubs around here.

In my old pub I used to throw a cider festival twice a year, believe me when I say I've drunk my fair share of cider. Plus countless smashes of cheddar gorge at the Nottingham Beer Festival (still the best one in the country in my opinion).

I don't the people in question buy any cider from a pub and certainly not draft cider.

Which, of the proper ciders do you like? Unfortunately some of the good ones you get down south aren't available up here as they don't travel well not having any additives in them.

I'm a big fan of Dunkerton's, tried it last year in Gloucestershire, was sublime. It'd be quicker to tell you which ones I don't like, which is all Perries. Pear cider is definitely not for me.

We have older pubs than Russia as well. And loads more older than Germany or Italy both of which are younger than the USA.

Whereabouts?Always stop off for a day or two in Bourton on The Water when going down south. Going to spend a week there later in the year so will try and look it up. Going to Somerset for a week in June. The nearest pub to our cottage has 30 draught ciders so will no doubt be sampling some new ones.

Had a pear one in New Forest which was alright. Can't remember the name of it.

I think you may have misunderstood the meaning of the sentence.

If you're in the area, the Marlbrough Arms in Cirencester is amazing, a proper real ale pub and had 9 ciders on at the time (one had run out), that's where I drank it. We must have drank them out of Titanic Plum Porter, was a good Summer's day/night.

He mean't we have older pubs than the USA the country, not we have older pubs than the pubs in the USA. (I think)

    Edit. I'm not sure anymore.

Yes. I was quite aware of that. And, as I said, we have older pubs than Russia the country. And ones far older than Italy or Germany, countries which are younger than the USA.

Aware of relative ages, just never thought of using it as a wind-up. Simple.

Trouble is I will be driving. Had a pleasant bite to eat at the Bear Inn in Cirencester, sat outside on a boiling hot day.

Bourton on The Water is a fabulous place, could live there if .I ever had the money, with some good places to eat but the pubs only have standard lagers, beers and ciders. Though one restaurant, the dearest one unfortunately (though it is excellent) has No Brainer Cider, a Cotswold Cider Company bottled one which I could drink all the time.
Funny thing tastes. Was talking to a German bloke who had settled near Bourton on The Water in a pub there and he was saying he preferred the beer to the ones at home in Munich. The one in the pub we were in wasn't very good even by their standards in my opinion.

I take my grandchildren to the park across the road in Pearson park, it is full of kids And mothers etc, the low life's stand outside the fence drinking ( not water) swearing and shouting at one another, they also sit at the tables next to the pond and the seats around it, pretty much all drunk, I've seen them shouting at young lasses that walk past. Pearson park is a really nice place normally but with these low life's it make it bloody orible. They all sit outside that hostel cans in hand shouting, swearing. It's a very intimidating thing to walk past... my opinion is it could of been put somewhere else.

He's been up in court today, charged with four counts of robbery, four counts of attempted robbery, two counts of assault with intent to rob, possession of a firearm while committing a schedule one offence, and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

He's also now been charged with failing to provide a specimen for a drug assessment.
