There aren't loads of people sat around drinking cheap cider in any locals I know. Bloody expensive stuff but not that cheap chemical concoction which has never been near an apple beloved of down and outs everywhere.
Does anyone live in a world where everyone dislikes them, whether that be family or friends, for no reason?
It does, but a pub is a controlled environment. Please don't deliberately not apply context, you're better than that. It's not just the literal drinking of alcohol that causes the problem, it's the unsupervised nature of drinking in public, the lack of rules and the obvious dangers that presents. If a group of lads were drinking in a pub on a Saturday afternoon and there were kids present, any good landlord would speak to them and remind them of the children nearby. Or, the family with children would leave if they felt uncomfortable. But at no point would the children be there by themselves, the same can't be said of a playground or park.
When did disliking them become part of the issue? What if someone has run away from an abusive family group and this has contributed to them not being able to develop friend relationships? Lots of people are homeless for reasons beyond their 'fault'.
Bit harsh that for you kemps. You know we have kids homes cos there aren't any famil to look after them right? What you think happens to those kids when they grow up?
No I didn't. The post questioned whether I'd be happy to have kids somewhere where cheap cider is drunk. That happens in pubs
That's fair fair Chazz, but I wasn't talking about kids. I know some of the people who are housed there from years ago. They had a perfectly good chance to be good people and most did.
Me.... I do! These poshos ****ing hate northerners. I love it, I once asked a one of the senior local poshos to advise me on how to use an internal flushing toilet...
Actually my local has old mout for £2 a bottle. No idea how they manage it. They also have the non-cider Strongbow for £1.99 a pint.
How much are those big bottles of Bulmars these days? It was the cheapest way to get drunk in the old days.
