Have to say i'm undecided, he was an influential player for us in 2007/08 but then I remember the Folan who played for us last season
So Folan is the answer eh..... was the question "How can we keep our goalscoring problems alive and kicking?"
Oh come on. Are we really suggesting signing someone who was useless two years ago and couldnt score to save his life then? What makes you think anything is going to have changed after a year of playing mickey mouse football over in the states?
His last appearance for City was probably the bravest/stupidest I've ever seen. Remember him playing a full half on one leg? Can't call a man a fanny after seeing that, just a bit daft possibly...
I never said he was. There is no point in spending money on someone that we all know isnt going to improve the team. May as well have neither and save the money for someone useful!
the club runs on a wage budget. if dele goes then the money is wasted if we dont fill it. Folan could be the difference between another 6 goals before the end of the season and when our average score tends to be 1 - 0, that could be a lot of points. Folan would do a job!!
Yes, because he gives us a plan B by coming off the bench he's never named on when our plan A that hadn't worked for the previous 6 months because it was missing anyone strong enough to hold the ball up still didn't work because it still didn't involve anyone doing that job.
one of the funniest sights this season was Dele and Wes Morgan 'sprinting' side by side for a ball at Forest!!!!! It was definately The Tortoise vs The Tortoise!!
Jon Parkin vs Leon Cort at Crystal Palace a few years ago was similar. Cort easy had a 10 yard start and was caught in 20 (30 for Parkin) despite Parkin's lack of pace. Best 5 minutes of a game ever.
Are we actually in the hunt for a forward? Or are we going to continue in the vain hope that the forwards we have can convert more than one chance in 20?
