The main thing to say regarding this thread is that it would be bonkers to criticise things as they are now, but not to say anything when things weren't right for a long time is equally as bonkers. The whole point of this place is to express opinions, if you just leave things to 'faith' and think things will turn out OK regardless then why bother commenting on the football or anything at all in life!

Why ? He missed chances any player at any level should score with. Hence why I blame Akpom as he missed them. That header @ Leeds ffs. He could not even hit the target from 6 yards. Don't even bother about the Rotherham game. Those misses were equally shocking.
I made this point to you before that he missed these chances as we were losing and he was under pressure, if the team selection and tactics had been what they are now then he wouldn't have been in that position to miss chances, he would have most likely slotted them away

The whole team was ****e that day, why didn't they create any chances before Akpom came on?

It's no good saying if this and if that.

If ifs and buts were scratches and cuts, you'd have bled to death by now.

I think it's quite bad he's making a 19 year kid a scapegoat to be honest too for no good reason

Akpom's job is to score goals, he missed some sitters so has been dropped, nothing about him being a scapegoat in my view. He'' start the cup tie no doubt
Tickler made him the scapegoat, nobody else has as far as I can see as it's a pretty Ticklish kind of opinion

Park the tactics. Akpom missed chances that he should be putting away at any level. Sad but true.

So what ? The facts are that Akpom had chances he should have put away. End of.

Correct. Shame others cannot see it. When the team is struggling any chances need to be put away.
Akpom has cost us 4 points - not tactics - for not doing his job.

So he should be.

Maybe not on here but it is an opinion shared by many at the games and elsewhere.

Yes we could have played much better but don't defend Akpom for missing chances most of us could have put away.

You go to the away matches I believe so I find it hard to believe that you can't see the main reason we lost those games was because the players weren't rested or rotated, I'm talking specifically about Meyler, and to a lesser extent Livermore, Elmo and Robertson. Blaming Akpom for missing chances under pressure because we were losing is harsh. A more experienced striker might have dealt with the pressure when we were losing. You need to look at the managers team selection and tactics not point the finger at the kid. I agree he should be on the bench but only because Hernandez is top class and works well with Diame

You're a fool. The other day you had no idea about Michael Turner. In this post you claim we've only spent three seasons in the top flight, along with the most pathetic and ludicrous suggestion that past honours that aren't event recent have the slightest relevance to this season.

Expectations are founded on current circumstance, not on winning a Mickey mouse cup 50 years ago or how many people can fit in a stadium.

You talk like the typical delusional premier league fan, by your posts I gather quite clearly you haven't been going to city long.
I started going to city on May 24 2008 which probably proceeds you by about two years.
Do you practise at being such a clever **** or does it come naturally ?
