Brian's Predictions League 2019/20 League Table No changes in the top places this week though Colognehornet is coming up dangerously Paul managed to cut Matej's lead down to under a hundred, with still plenty of time to go. Highest score of the day was by Andy - as a result of being the only one to tip the result at Old Trafford - this being the only really high score of the day. I have made a cock up in the fixtures for next weekend This was a mental aberration as a result of moving up to sixth in the table I forgot about the League Cup Final being played next weekend (one of those competitions you do forget unless your team is in it) - as a result neither Aston Villa or the Abu Dhabi all stars will be playing league matches next weekend. I realized this too late to bring in alternative fixtures and so there will be a reduced round of only 8 fixtures next weekend. Watford Predictions League 2019/20 League Table Something of a reduced round this week with only 7 fixtures. I will be avoiding Italian fixtures for a while because of the current danger of postponements there. Not much to report this week. Very low scores - nobody predicted the Hornets scoreline correctly Highest scorer of the round was Frenchie with 73, drawing him up onto Paul's shoulder in second - this was due to a bit of inspirational tipping on the Spurs v Wolves match. Otherwise a few picked up good points at Goodison (and a few lost them) as a result of VAR, and some of us got it right at Newcastle. The focus now moves onto the midweek FA Cup round which starts tomorrow night. That was a surprise cologne as I thought I had had a terrible week and expected to slide down the table. Thanks for doing it.
Hi Cologne, could you check my score please? It doesn't move me anywhere but I think I'm 10 points more Also, the 4 of us who predicted a Watford win should get extra points and as I predicted we would score 3 I should be awarded even more for my blind optimism!
Brian's Predictions League 2019/20 League Table A very difficult round to tip this time with only 2 games where both teams scored - no less than 9 teams failed to score, with lots of games decided by only one goal. Most of us overtip at times like this. This didn't stop Frenchie from moving into second with an impressive score of 92, now within 58 points of Matej. Our expert from the BBC also did well, mainly through profiting by the Hornets loss, and moves into 6th as a result. Highest score of the day was by Hackney with 109 . The predictions league is currently suspended awaiting further developments. Obviously if football returns in April then we can continue as normal, but what are the chances of that ? As long as there is a chance then I will simply freeze the league until then. If it becomes obvious that this seasons football is declared null and void, then our league table at the time of that decision (probably April) would be the final one ie. Matej would be the winner.
Brian's Predictions League 2019/20 League Table It's all a bit like guess work after the long break with not knowing how teams will react to empty stadiums and a long time off. Is home advantage still an advantage ? A little bit early to say on that one. Some quite high scores on here, with both Chris and Yorkie getting a hundred each, and some moderate ones (very moderate in my case). Frenchie has closed the gap further at the top, down to 18 points. With rounds following each other very quickly now we, more or less, have continuous football. Our next round starts tonight, and a further round starts at the weekend, together with the FA Cup quarter finals. It's become more difficult Frenchie. When all the featured games happened at the weekend I could do it all in a leisurely fashion on a Sunday but so many midweek matches makes it more difficult - also it's going to go well into the Summer this time
