Brian's Predictions League 2019/20
League Table
The difference a goal can make ! All the drama of this round came in the time added on at Arsenal where two extra goals in combination with a well placed joker ensured a bag full of points for Paul. The highest score of the round takes him up to second in the table. Up to that point it had been a rather nondescript round with a couple of tips right on the Celtic match but nothing else of note, and most of us scrambling for average points. Also a nondescript day for the Billygoats at the Rheinenergiestadion - starting the match with all the energy levels of a marmot on sleeping pills - thus meaning that everyone else was right and I was wrong. We now get back to normal next week with a normal Premiership round.

Paul managed to cut Matej's lead down to under a hundred, with still plenty of time to go. Highest score of the day was by Andy - as a result of being the only one to tip the result at Old Trafford - this being the only really high score of the day. I have made a cock up in the fixtures for next weekend
This was a mental aberration as a result of moving up to sixth in the table
I forgot about the League Cup Final being played next weekend (one of those competitions you do forget unless your team is in it) - as a result neither Aston Villa or the Abu Dhabi all stars will be playing league matches next weekend. I realized this too late to bring in alternative fixtures and so there will be a reduced round of only 8 fixtures next weekend.
Highest scorer of the round was Frenchie with 73, drawing him up onto Paul's shoulder in second - this was due to a bit of inspirational tipping on the Spurs v Wolves match. Otherwise a few picked up good points at Goodison (and a few lost them) as a result of VAR, and some of us got it right at Newcastle. The focus now moves onto the midweek FA Cup round which starts tomorrow night.

Cheers Chris - just checked it again and you are right. I have edited the league table.Hi Cologne, could you check my score please? It doesn't move me anywhere but I think I'm 10 points more
Also, the 4 of us who predicted a Watford win should get extra points
and as I predicted we would score 3 I should be awarded even more for my blind optimism!![]()
You were not alone!I'm not even sure I deserve my 10 points for posting this week...![]()
Nooooooo! I only needed about ten more months and I would’ve caught him, I know it.The predictions league is currently suspended awaiting further developments. Obviously if football returns in April then we can continue as normal, but what are the chances of that ? As long as there is a chance then I will simply freeze the league until then. If it becomes obvious that this seasons football is declared null and void, then our league table at the time of that decision (probably April) would be the final one ie. Matej would be the winner.

It's become more difficult Frenchie. When all the featured games happened at the weekend I could do it all in a leisurely fashion on a Sunday but so many midweek matches makes it more difficult - also it's going to go well into the Summer this timeThanks cologne. This has to be a nightmare for you trying to get this table updated.![]()
