Of course...

However , free prescriptions for drugs like paracetamol and ibroprofen , that you can get for about 30p on average ,is a joke

Even if you save a million a year by not prescribing them , that's a good few staff at ground level
Yup but the reason the bill is so heavy for those drugs is the pharma companies are charging the NHS the 30p or 40p. They are ripping the **** out of it.

That's not to say I don't agree that doctors shouldn't be prescribing them except in exceptional cases.

Never thought I’d reach this age, so I haven’t planned for any of it. I’m up for all the free stuff I can get in my dotage, no ****’s given me Fanny Adams up til now <ok>

I chucked the 'work' at age 56 in 2010; thirty eight years with the Government gave me a pretty good pension even if it was actuarially reduced because I left before age 60. I had also made a few bob from ante-post punting on the horses so after a few calculations and considerations (nae wife, nae kids, nae mortgage) I just thought ...... f**k it I'm outta here! Will only have to wait an extra eight months for the £160 or so a week from the state so not too bad.

Sorry all for interrupting your gassin'.

I don't have an ex anything but you keep amusing yourself, I'm sure the young boys think you're harmless enough.
You seem a wee bit obsessed with young boys. You use that patter on everybody you argue with in here.

Is that why she left you?

I have done

I have voted labour

Every election is different for me and I vote accordingly

There is not one party I agree with in a majority

Last GE, I vote green ...

Last Scottish election, I voted green ...

Tory and labour were not viable options

This is interesting , Pud's not the 100% jump the dyke class traitor I thought..

I may have the wrong end of the stick here, must have, but if the prescription money (about £8) is paid by the government to the NHS and the drugs cost 30p then prescribing drugs like paracetamol makes the NHS better funded. What am I missing?
