No, it’s in Britain.
Technically it isn't in Britain but is in the United Kingdom. The official schtick is The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland so it gets its own honourable mention. For common purposes saying it is part of Britain shouldn't be a problem but in the same vein England and English has been applied to all parts of the country including Scotland and Wales but that approach is as popular as a turd in a swimming pool.

So that song about only 6 counties and all of them proud is a tad inaccurate.

P.S. None of the aforementioned 9 counties are in Britain. They are all on the Island of Ireland.
