We shouldn't be squabbling on here amongst ourselves. Ok our views differ and we like to vent our frustration but essentially we are all on the same side. The real enemy is the one that has just been defeated. But they will be back in another guise.

Thread should be left open , we don't Brexit for about 2 years. Plenty of the City threads have got nasty. Posters should rise above and not take things personally. Although I'm not for 'banning' stuff , if you are going to ban something ban the use of profanity for ****s sake :)

Unless I've missed it George Osborne has been very quiet and if anything epitomises what was wrong with Europe to me it is the likes of Junker spitting his dummy out both before and after the referendum result. Him and his Brussels bureaucrats were one of the main reasons for me having doubts about the way Europe was heading and voting to leave.

I couldn't give a stuff what you think about my opinion or anything else. However, you shouldn't be on a forum where people can reply as discussion obviously stretches your limited intellectual capabilities. And, discussion, debate and argument is actually the reason for a forum.

****ing hell, get you!

It was a victory for stupidity over common sense, in my opinion, swung by a campaign aimed at people who didn't really know the consequences of what they were voting for and instead we're just told it was bad and we needed to leave.

Not that some well respected financial advisors, world leaders and scientists told us it was a good idea to remain. No, let's listen to Baz off the estate who hates Muslims and has an English flag tattooed on his arm, clearly he's more qualified to offer advice on an important decision.

I hope there's another referendum in 4 years time when the country has gone to **** and those that voted to leave want back in. And I hope the EU tell us to go **** ourselves.

did you think for a while about those words of woe? Daft twat.

Word of the week as to be CONTAGION....Love it. I love the way it looks, the way it sounds.....
Basically its the domino effect as more and more Europeans cotton on to the thought that eh...we can also vote to get out of the failed, old boys club that is the EU..
Big election in France...next May...Le Pen does well and France get the vote to Remain or Leave...See you EU...
The Spanish and the Italian think bollocks to this...It will be down to Mrs Merkel to look after Albania. Serbia , Turkey....on their tod...They'll love that!

I'm sure people had reasons to vote. Some of them would have been genuine. But many of the voters I imagine were led by what they were told by both sides by campaigns that contained an awful lot of bullshit. So instead of doing the reasonable thing and researching both arguments they went along with whatever suited them personally. It's nothing to do with condascention and I resent you calling me out on that for simply stating my views on the matter.

From a social point of view, the people who went through uni, were educated and put thought into their vote mostly chose to remain. The forklift drivers, builders and unemployed people chose to leave, citing things such as "bloody immigrants", "taking our country back" and "£350 million a week back into our economy". Not an accurate cross section of voters by any means, but have a look at your own social media using the same criteria and see if it matches up.

So these people in low skilled jobs are the ones that I think the campaigns were targeted at, people who have an over reliance on the media because they won't look things up for themselves out of fear or laziness. All it takes is one outlet to be labelled a "danger to society" and whichever campaign backs that will get the vote. It's a cowardly and derisive strategy that prayed on a lot of weak willed people. It's exactly what Donald Trump is doing in America right now.

Speaking of Trump, he welcomed our decision to leave the EU with open arms. So it must've been a good idea. That's some endorsement that is.

Okay, it's official. You are determined to take over Patty's role as the board clown. Total ****wit.

Here's a question.... with now not being a EU member and we no longer have to abide by their constitutional laws... does that mean the BOSMAN goes out of the window..?

Can I just say, in general this has been a decent, civilised discussion.

Credit to all involved. <ok>

We'll remain in the EU for at least two more years and even when we leave we'll be a member of the EU in some form, almost certainly on worse terms that we're on now.

We'll still be paying into the EU coffers, we'll still have to accept some free movement, I think many who voted out are going to find that what we end up with us not what they thought they were voting for.

1 I can't see that happening
2 No UK government will agree to any deal that involves allowing free movement between EU and UK.
3-5 The EU doesnt need all 27 countries to agree to trade deals.
1 neither can I, I was only saying it's technically possible
2 I would agree, although some Brexiteers seem to be making sure people know it might be the case. Depends who is PM I suppose
3 Actually I don't think you're right on that. If the deal is part of Article 50 then all 27 other countries have to agree it, naturally we don't get a vote and aby one could veto it
4 I'm less sure about a trade deal that is outside of article 50, in the same way as the US trade deal with EU, I still think if would be a trade deal with the EU they'd all have to agree, but presumably you could negotiate separate deals with different deals with countries although it's been suggested that way is likely to be the most damaging to our economy (I don't know why)
5 that was linked to others leaving so isn't relevant yet anyway

I also think is the most likely outcome
