When I first saw the news DB, I though. "You Beauty." I've just had a look at BoxRec and there is no mention of the fight, so I don't know if the guys have signed off on it yet. There are a lot of Khan haters out there and they were quick off the mark to bag the fight. And every second American seems to believe Spence the be the next super star, so they too give Khan no chance. If you can forget about his chin or lack there of, he's still one hell of a fighter.

As for the fight, probably Bud. His punching power could be the key. Although he has an impressive number of wins inside the distance, 2 out of every 3 bouts, thee was a surprise when I saw his stats was his KO numbers. Since 8 June 2012, he's only knocked out one man, Julius Indongo. This has to be a plus for Khan. And it has to be remembered that the cards were split when Canelo nailed him big time. The man has talent, but is it enough against Spence? Who knows. I just hope he goes well.

Spence? I think you are getting confused between Errol Spence and Terence Crawford.
Khan is signed to fight Crawford.

I think Khan has zero to no chance against Crawford. I put Crawford as my number one pound for pound in the world.

It's just another glory fight for Khan. Another one he can say he tried but ultimately failed against the best.

I agree Khan has no chance at all. Crawford is top top class and I'd only have Loma above him currently and even then it's extremely close.

I think Khan has taken it, part out of arrogance that's he actually thinks he's that good and part because there's would be a hell of a lot less damage done to his reputation in losing to Crawford as opposed to Kell Brook. When he loses this he'll assume that the doemstic scrap with Brook will be still on the table, if he were to lose to Brook first then that's pretty much curtains for him on the world stage

Does anyone always believe what that read in the media? I do, but I'm an idiot. According to a site called Fight Nights which has a page where future dates are mentioned, they have the WBO Light Heavy Title fight tonight between Eleider Alvarez and Sergey Kovalev set down as a Light Flyweight bout. As both men weighed in at 174 pounds, they might struggle a bit to make the 108 pound limit of the Light Flyweights. :)
 
I don't know how true it is, but Ring Magazine have released the news that Anthony Joshua and Jarrell "Big Baby" Miller have reached an agreement to fight for the belts. From what's being said, Dazn wants bang for it's billion dollar investment and want Joshua to fight a local on North American soil.

It could be all crap, but I guess we'll soon find out.

Big baby doesn't deserve a title fight yet as he hasn't fought anyone with a pulse.
 
Joshua v Miller makes a lot of sense from the Wilder v Joshua fight perspective.

The reason that fight hasn’t happened isn’t to do with any ducking in my opinion, it’s the fact that it simply won’t sell the numbers they’re looking for in the US.

Part of that is Wilder hasn’t really won the US public over. Another part though is that they don’t respect you over there until you fight there. Joshua could gain a lot more interest from this fight- he’s hugely marketable and his character will win him some popularity in the states, and hence more PPV buys.

I haven’t watched enough of Miller yet to have a final opinion. His size and weight means Joshua needs to beware of any short hooks as they could trouble him (like Whytes shot that wobbled him) but if he’s sensible he should have the speed to box him from range.

Can Miller take a shot?

In June of 1963, the then Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. travelled to the England to fight one Henry Cooper. Our 'Enry was having his 38th fight when he stepped into his part of an historic bout. Although he'd won both the Commonwealth and British Heavyweight Titles, he'd suffered 8 losses along the way. He wasn't the greatest fighter in the world, but he had an iron constitution and a wicked left hook known as 'Enry's 'Ammer. During the course of his career to this point, his face had copped a right old pasting. Although only 29 at the time, he had the face of a 60 year old man. Ali was 21 and looked like an Adonis alongside Henry.

What made this fight a much talked about affair was the Clay knock down at the end of the 4th round, and the time delay between rounds due to a split in his glove. It been suggested the Angelo Dundee cut the glove to buy more time,but film shows that the glove was split during the 4th round. Dundee did later admit that he further damaged the glove. It had to be replaced with or without Dundee's interference. The time keeper has testified that in total, only an extra 40 seconds was added on to the break. Did it make a difference to the outcome of the fight? Probably not. But we'll never know. Clay was classes about Cooper in ability, buy Henry managed to deliver that bolt out of the blue that could have caused one of the all time upsets. He probably though about that lost 40 seconds for the rest of his life. He would fight Clay-Ali again in 1966 and once more be stopped with a mangled face.

Holy ****, I just came across this guy yesterday. His Name is Leon Muhammad. He's as poor as a church mouse and I think he might have a drinking problem, but he a real fount of boxing knowledge. He's worked the corner with a host of greats including Ali, and has met the likes of Nelson Mandela, Don King, Martin Luther King and Malcom X. He's an inductee to the Boxing Hall of Fame who's lead an amazing life. He's hard on the eye and at times a bit difficult to understand, but he's full of really interesting information.

Now here's some news. While touring Los Angeles before his December 1, WBC clash with Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury was taken aback with the amount of homelessness he encountered. At that point he promised to donate all of his purse for the up coming fight, to UK charities enabling them to build homes for the drug and alcohol addicted.

Fury has since confirmed that he'd lived up to his word. It's estimated that he took somewhere in the vicinity of 7 million pounds from the fight.

When it comes to punching powers, some are suggesting that nobody in their respective weight division punches harder that Gervonta "Tank" Davis. Maybe they have a point. Who knows? He defended his WBA Super Featherweight Title last weekend against Hugo Ruiz.

It looks as though Wilder - Fury 2 might not take place for a while. Tyson Fury has just signed a whopping deal with Top Rank worth eighty million pounds, a deal that puts him in a different promotional camp to both Wilder and Joshua. Wilder's Showtime, Joshua's Matchroom and Fury's Top Rank have in the past, had a lot of trouble working together. So for the time being, it'll probably be all three fighting anyone but each other.
