It is a bit hot for running! I got a new camelbak thingy especially. I have a running waterbottle, but it doesn't hold enough water for long runs in these temperatures. Still managed to get a run in this evening, but was absolutely soaked through with sweat. Nice!

Training is getting interesting now. Every Saturday I run a distance further than I've ever ran before. Tomorrow it's 14 miles aaaaaand I'm going to have to avoid the heat as best I can by getting up much earlier than the typical Saturday promises. It wouldn't be so bad, but I need to eat some energy before I go, and then let that 'go down' before I can hit the road. Might set my alarm for 5am, eat some porridge/banana etc. then go back to sleep for an hour or two. Then get up again and set off.

£220. I'm chuffed with that so far. My target is £250 and I know I've got another £30 coming too. My Macmillan Cancer Support running top arrived in the post this morning and along with it a paper sponsor form so I should be able to tie down some people at work with that.

Oh and I survived my 14.5 mile run this morning! Twas hard going, turned my ankle over on a gravel path, but thankfully regained balance without putting too much weight on it so all appears to be ok.

Not much uptake from not606ers, RSS !. Imagine - a mean Jock pledging, while 99% of 606ers abstain - oh, the shame !
Come on 606ers - RSS needs our support - what a great cause. The more support he gets, the more determined he becomes. Don`t miss this opportunity to do your good deed for the day !

Quite a few! And I'm very grateful to you all for it indeed.

I've been away all week with work. Stayed in a nice apartment in Bembridge right on the beach. Working the morning and evening tides, which is quite useful really, because it meant I had time in the middle of the day to get my training runs in. 16 miles to run tomorrow!

Also, thanks to you bumpers for keeping this up on the first page even when I'm not around. 10 weeks and counting until the big day!!

You have no subtlety do you Lamballana? :)

A simple "How's the training going" usually works
