Enner Valencia set to join West Ham in £12m deal
West Ham expect Diego Poyet to become a star
Sunderland agree £14m fee for Fabio Borini
The Italian is only 23-years-old, yet during his loan spell at Sunderland he enjoyed great individual success. He scored ten goals in all competitions during the last campaign, including seven in 32 Premier League appearances.
He also created 26 chances for his teammates and, despite preferring a role up front, he can also fill in out wide and does so brilliantly as he is a team player and does what his manager requires of him to the best of his ability.
Unlikely move
However, the fee Liverpool are after may prove to be a stumbling block for the Hammers as they are already about to fork out a sizeable sum to acquire the services of Valencia.
Also, it is reported that Borini is not keen on a move away from Anfield despite Brendan Rogers’ desire to offload the forward in order to fund a move for QPR striker Loic Remy.
The Italian wants to stay and fight for his place at Liverpool but if they do not want him then West Ham should definitely be in the race for his signature and provide Sunderland with last-minute competition.
The fact he has Premier League experience and a dogged nature, combined with his flair and ability to pull off the sublime, should put him ahead of both Valencia and Zarate in the race to support Carroll up top.
Do you think Fabio Borini would be a good fit at West Ham?
