He'd probably be available for loan, pacey winger with potential but some question his attitude. He could flourish under a decent manager who could put an arm round him, I ain't too sure Louis Van Gaal's that man to be honest! He doesn't seem the type to me.

I think Poyet could make this lad a star, that's a great shout and we need a winger.

Wake me up wen or if he signs im sorry to say its all getting boring now he doesn't seem to be interested so lets **** him off and move on.His loss the fans love him up here but if he would rather carry the water for sturridge kambert and remy then let him

What's more is, you could probably put a £12m clause in his loan contract to buy him, I don't think he'll ever get a shot under LVG. He's not just a winger either, he can play that number 10 role, he played that role at Palace.

Edit: You'd probably get him for half that actually! I was just drawing comparisons to the Borini fee.

---------------Mannone---------------
Jones------new cb----Brown----new lb

Johnson-------Wickham------Giaccherini

Looking at that I think the 14m is better spent elsewhere. Get alonso signed, new centre back then a dynamic box to box midfielder.

But if we leave those wide positions free and go elsewhere for another position entirely then neither AJ or Giacc have any cover whatsoever. Suicide mate. You can't expect Giacc and AJ to each play 40 full games a season. it's bordering on delusional. If we don't sign Borini we need to sign somebody else versatile to let that front 3 be tweaked and cover injury. You seem determined for us to go into the season with no cover for wide men and a different dimension up front. I usually agree with you Parker but I think you'd get us relegated here. One injury and the balance of our attack is ****ed until that player comes back, Who we'd replace them with if they both got injured? Put Larrson inside left?<laugh> no no no. Mavrias? Who hasn't developed as we liked last season, probably no better than a championship wide man at present. Wattmore? Who wasn't good enough for the first team when we signed him and spent most of last season out injuered. Karlsson? Who developed worse than the other two?

AJ and Giacc just isn't enough cover for those two positions for a full season and the rest aren't good enough yet to get on the pitch. We'd go down.

Fabio Borini's agent has told the Italian media that the forward will be turning down Sunderland's offer to fight for his place at Liverpool

This is the story from the Agent:

The agent of Liverpool forward Fabio Borini has told the Italian media that his believes client wants to stay at Liverpool and fight for his place. The Italian international spent last season on loan with Sunderland and the Premier League side want to make his move a permanent one.

Speaking to TMW Marco De Marchi said that Borini is a gambler and wants to remain at Liverpool. He said that they are not worried about the competition for places at the Merseyside club despite Brendan Rodgers being able to pick from the likes of Daniel Strurridge and Rickie Lambert. De Marchi pointed to the fact that when Borini was playing for AS Roma he had a number of great players in his way for the forward places and therefore this is no different to the situation at Liverpool.

"After the loan Liverpool did not tell me anything. He will remains for me, he is convinced to gamble. In Rome there were Totti, Osvaldo, Lamela, and Bojan: he has no fear of playing with anyone, for me he can be part of any staff of a top club," said his agent when asked about his future with Liverpool.

Borini spent last season on loan at Sunderland and was instrumental in the club staying in the Premier League. It looked like the North East club would be dropping down into the Championship but with Borini’s performances in the final weeks of the season this helped the club avoid the drop.
------------------------------------------

So that second bold bit says nothing of him turning us down or wanting to stay at Liverpool. Just that he's a gambler and doesn;t mind competition for his place! Non-story!

You're right Marcus. Tells us nowt. A move to us, a relegation candidate where he already knows he's already down the pecking order in his favoured position can be considered just as much a gamble as being further down the pecking order at a big club. Graeme Bailey is just guessing. As is the reporter who did this story.

Little update on Borini. His agent says "It is not a rejection but at the end of the day he wants to play for #LFC" #SAFC

Fabio Borini is not worth £14million.

I could live with it when it looked like thelads head and heart was in it, but now I say drop it and move on.

Sign Dejagah & Osvaldo, will get BOTH for under £14million.

Alonso done, Holtby on loan, and for ****s sake go for Caulker who is stalling on QPR.

Sorted.
