Borini has been professional to the club he's under contract with, stating his willingness to do well for the club, just like Giacc has with us. Borini will have no more sentimental attachment to Liverpool then Giacc has to us. It tells me nothing about how or where either of them really see's their future.

Di Marchi (Borini's agent) in 2012: He will do everything to try to reciprocate the trust and become an important element for Rome.

Fabio Borini says he's not interested in a move to Liverpool, he wants to remain at Roma, one week later...

Until you see a player on the official website holding up the shirt you cant trust anything nowadays

You can't mate. Take every bit of speculation with a pinch of salt. But we can still look at we do know, like using hindsight information to build an opinion on, like those old Agent quotes and the fact Andy Carroll, Stuart Downing and Charlie Adam were all taken on tour with Liverpool and sent back for transfers, or that Borini and his Lass have yet to take a lease on a new home. I know these. No speculation, I'm still confident this will happen. Hate the press and hate agents, they're both full of ****.

Given up on Borini, personally. Smelt a rat when he went on tour saying he wanted to fight for his place. I bet LFC would love to sell him for £14m, but if he doesn't want to go there's nowt anyone can do about it. Love it if he came, but I'm getting a bit worried that it would only be because he'd been given the bum's rush by Liverpool.

We are great at selling. Just not so hot on buying (until recently <yikes>)

When it boils down to it Cabaye, Remy etc, have been replaced by players who may not be as good.

Newcastle bought no one last season and are just making up the numbers this time.

It's better than we're doing but not exactly a crack at the title is it?

hes always going to want to stay at liverpool, but doesnt mean he doesnt wan to come to us in the long run, and probs just waiting to talk to him, and wont be allowed till they get remy IMO and when they do borni probs feel he has no other choice but to move then

Whatever the case the club are knifing themselves in the face regarding season ticket sales.

Much better for Poyet to have kept his mouth shut, about Borini, instead of going into the media saying how much he wanted him.

Thing is, I remember the same stuff being said about Cabaye, Debuchy et all before. While it is quite true that the replacements might not be as good, there is every chance that they could be better (or at least equal).

A crack at the title? I'd be happy with a crack at not being embarrassed <laugh>

Yep the club looks stupid now.

Surely the club would have drawn a line under this if he wasn't coming rather than let it drag on......

TO me they don't - I've heard nothing from Borini or Di Marchi saying borini definitely does not want to come to Sunderland - the quotes mean whatever you want them to mean - to Sky Sports and the southern bias media, it means Borini doesn't want to come - To me it says he is willing to fight for his place but nowhere has he said he won't be joining us - we only look silly because this is what the press want us to look like.

Gus Poyet had hoped to keep last season's loan star and believed a huge £14m bid would help land the striker but the Serie A champions have entered the race following news that new signing Alvaro Morata will miss six weeks through injury.

According to reports in Italy, general director Beppe Marotta is drawing up a list of short-term replacements and Borini is the Old Lady's top target although they also have their eye on Chelsea man Romelu Lukaku.

I can't see any advantage to Liverpool in agreeing to another loan or how Juventus would pay his wages tbh.

Borini would be another year older and still without a first team place.

I can smug, Borini is on a long contract at liverpool, still three years to run, one good season in the Champions League and Liverpool can charge what they want for him.

Liverpool are splashing the cash though, around £100mill so far. They'll want to recoup some of that back asap. Can't see them going for a loan deal for Borini.
