I'm very happy to pay five quid exactly for two pints of Fosters in my match day local. Beer snobs that don't like Fosters are free to do one. (Polite version)I’m very happy to pay under a fiver for a pint of Hurlimann in my local/ office![]()

No they’ve weakened all the strong stuff down to 4.8 % now , my father-in-law introduced me to the real stuff many years ago without me knowing - I could hardly talk after 3 pintsI knew Hurlimanns as Hooligans. Is it still really strong?

Saved my marriage thoughA crafty price increase. They pay less tax.

…… I do remember saying when a pint cost more than a quid I’ll stop drinking
I see Fullers ESB has also come down to 5.1% from 5.5%. Still packed a punch though. The first time I tried it I didn't realise how strong it was, due to the fact that it was extremely drinkable, and I had 6 pints. I won't go into that particular evening. No they’ve weakened all the strong stuff down to 4.8 % now , my father-in-law introduced me to the real stuff many years ago without me knowing - I could hardly talk after 3 pints![]()

A fool and his money ...My Bank Manager is very pleased to hear that I did not pay more than £7 for a pint whilst back home.
I did get clobbered for around £6.90 in a craft beer gaff in Portchester when we went to football on Easter Saturday, I suffered that.
Sadly, but not surprisingly, I flew through the £7 barrier in Vasteras(near Stockholm) last Friday, the day before the mighty Elsborg played out a 2-2 draw.
Only for another four weeks mate. Then I'm back to drowning my sorrows at £2.50 for a 600ml bottle whilst missing 606 for another 18 months.A fool and his money ...
