Whisky drips from Satan's anus. Awful stuff. My hatred stems from downing a litre of Bells when I was fourteen and nearly dying as a result. I had my stomach pumped and the vomit was coming out of my hooter. I'll never forget that.

I am not a big fan of spirits although I have always been partial to a vodka and orange.
Over here they pour the dose in front of you and you receive a very healthy double for around £1.50

Years ago, us playing today's opponents Coventry would have meant a visit to The Rocket, this was bang outside the station. For home games they would open well before 11. It was alright and a good opportunity to brace yourselves for the awful walk to Highfield Road with the underpasses which were a nightmare to negotiate.

Never really drank in Coventry, I was usually the driver and we'd stop somewhere outside of the city then travel in. We were the first away team to win at their new stadium, and afterwards had their local radio station on while waiting in traffic. One pillock came on saying they should be beating teams like us with ease, and we weren't fit to be in the same league. Oh how we laughed.

Having said that, London laughed when they won the cup in '87, totteringham are the most despised club in London.

I gave a $110 bottle of Laphroaig to my Dad and step mum,... after one tipple they asked can they swap it for something else i have at home that's opened !

The 'no one got bombed like us in the war' Coventry, which is bollocks. Outside of London, Hull was the most heavily bombed city/town in the country. The censor kept it quiet and just reported 'a north east coast town was bombed'. It also had the last civilian fatalities from manned German aircraft of the war, 13 killed by fragmentation bombs and machine gun fire on 17th March 1945.

Speaking of Coventry, last weekend whilst at a shopping centre on the Central Coast of Nsw here, a British guy seemed to be curiously checking out my shirt/jersey as he walked past, once realised it was CAFC he was all smiles as he said "refreshing to see a real shirt', I said you probably thought it was Liverpool from afar right.
He pointed to his chest flashing his Coventry jersey, great little exchange it was from a stranger - in the far corners of Australia and due to being a Charlton fan.

Yesterday, Mrs Elfs and moi went to a place we regularly frequent on a Sunday, very popular and always have a band playing.
5 600ml Spaten lager, 3 large whiskies, 3 coconut water, 1 water and 2 bowls of soup, all for £23

This also included the cover charge for the music
Almost better than being in a Wetherspoons.

The Monday Club in the Wetherspoons is fantastic.
Last night, 2 pints of Doombar and a Punk IPA came to £6.50, I shall be going to Cockfosters tonight so our pre-match booze will be in the local spoons, Sir Tim is a wonderful man.
