The only true example in Great Britain. Plus Salford must be one of the cities without an actual city centre.
A hamlet with the same population as Aberdeen.
Nah, **** that. I see people who live there and nearby every day though. Grim, mate. Very grim.**** me, you'll tell me you live in Eddie Colman court next!
No. It's been shut a long time. They all are: The Flat Iron, The Wheatsheaf, The Church Inn, The Paddock. Closest open pub to the precinct now is The Winston on Churchill Way, though it's a den of iniquity if ever there was one. Soon enough, someone will get shot in there too, and it'll close like the rest.Ever had a pint in The Woolpack, if it is still open?
I have, once. Not scary or anything just one of those council estate boozers where time stands still.
Probably shut about ten years ago.I'm talking twenty years ago.
Paul Heatons pub is ok, Kings Arms? More or less in Manchester though.
And a cigar.
Mild, from benson & hedges.

A hamlet is a village without a church.
Wasn't Hamlet a play written by the English version of Robert Burns?
