It's one of those books that give both sides off the story.

It's about a food journo that falls in love with a go go dancer in Bangkok.

He tells his side of the story, and how he's falling in love.
Next bit she tells hers and how she is ****ing him over, etc.

It's a must read for anyone ever thinking about going to Thailand.

Even my dad has read it, i think he secrectly enjoyed it, as there is lots of porny bits in it, with Joy (the go go dancer) teaming up with a mate, to get the daft foreigner to shoot his muck as quick as possible so they can go and eat.

Is it a story about Skiddy?

So a romance then? Nice.

Quite a few of the dearly departed on this thread <ghost>

I have just finished reading ‘The Sorrow Of War’ by Bao Ninh.

One of the best books I’ve ever read. I’m not normally moved by reading but this got to me. It’s about a soldier who was collecting bodies after the Vietnam war and him wrestling with his conscience and reminiscing about the purpose of war. It’s not glamorised like most war books, it’s laid bare and very thought provoking.

American Pastoral by Phillip Roth for me. Been reading it a while and got distracted but will finish while on holiday.

Breakfast at Tiffany's after that.

Took this picture nearly five years ago @luvgonzo. November 2020, Covid time.

Never got past half way through the first book.

Will add that to my list.

Read The Midnight Library recently after a recommendation. Very interesting concept.
