You’re very wrong Brother Chazz

The players have already been funding the poorer ones by helping them with transport etc, and the earlier action resulted in the unseen staff getting paid

If your employer doesn’t pay you, they don’t get to choose whether they work for you or not.

Good luck to them

So Bassini had his meeting with the EFL today, absolutely no update whatsoever. The EFL are a joke also!

Sods law just announced 5 mins ago, Bassini given 48 hours to provide some outstanding info including proof of funds. I'd have thought the EFL would have told him what to bring to his meet otherwise don't turn up. The EFL still a joke!

It’s the integrity of the competition
They have a duty to fulfill their fixtures

That I think we can all agree on, probably even Chazz.

The club do, the players don't.

I fully commend their attitude. Most of them won't be insured for much. Some of them probably don't have anywhere near enough money to not work ever again, why risk it?

I think their thoughts are in the right place trying to draw attention to people who haven't been paid for months who will be struggling with mortgages.

Fair play to them.

Nailed it. What if they played and got a bad injury and found out because of the way the club has handled things they weren't insured? What then?

If they played, the fans could walk around the pitch with a bed sheet, and fans in the stands could throw coins into it, and then present it to the players at the end of the game.

Imagine if a club's fans did that.....

That was fine when the players were paid the same as the fans, these days i’m with Chazz.

Yep.
Just pay what is contractually required to be paid.
Where's the money going to come from?

You know when they go into administration the first ones to bepaid are the players.
The pfa are already supporting the players.
Play yourfixtures.
How will it help the club starting next season with a 12 point penalty.

I haven't seen you respond to the point someone made that it isn't about the players; that they're striking for the sake of the youngsters and club staff who really need the money.

I'm really struggling to see how anyone can be against the players striking here.

We all get paid to do a job. They have done theirs for quite some time without recompense. They have picketed to get ancillary staff paid previously and still gone without themselves. They have helped out junior players and other staff too - they've done all they can and still find themselves waiting for a conclusion.

Striking seems like the logical response to me.
