A legacy based on rented premises and disgusting treatment of the users of the Arco Arena without which they wouldn't have got Cat 2 status.
Surely obligation falls on both sides though? Offhand I can't think of any situations where people haven't been paid for a couple of months but have turned up for work regardless. Anyway isn't it all a bit academic? If there's no money to pay the players why would there be enough money to put the game on at all, police, security, etc? I'm not one for striking at the first possible opportunity but in this case it's the only weapon the players have, they can hardly work to rule can they. Imagine, 'yes, we'll turn out but we won't run', no headers and all throw-ins will go to an opposing player.
If either of their remaining games had anything hanging on them for either Bolton or their opponents then I would agree without which the EFL Championship would be utterly compromised and undermined. Given this isn't the case gives the EFL an easy way out whilst retaining a degree of credibility. That said, if I hadn't received.my last two months salary then I would feel entitled to stick two fingers up! Hopefully some sort of resolution is reached over the next 24-48 hours, the players get paid and they play in the remaining two fixtures. Failing which the club could ho bust next week!
The players are the only ones with any clout and they’re trying to make sure the staff far worse off than them get paid, I think it’s commendable.
Do they have an obligation to play? The club have a legal obligation to pay salaries & wages, not doing so is a breach of contract. The players can legally walk away. It’s not just the players not being paid. The players withdrawing their labour to show solidarity with the lower paid behind the scenes staff will have a greater impact & attract more publicity to their plight. As in any other business which continually fails to meet it’s legal obligations a withdrawal of labour is inevitable eventually I’m surprised the PFA have not balloted for official strike action, across the divisions if necessary. Other Unions involved should be doing similar. One out, all out.
Just play the game and leave on a free. They’ll get their money. If the club goes the poor ****s who supplied the club with services will get **** all. The players will get paid.
Fulfill the fixture please the fans somewhat Do it for the fans that’s who they’re supposed to do it for isn’t it. It’s a game of football ffs
Do it for the fans? I think so less and less these days. Anyway, why should the players carry the can for ****ty management?
Do it for the fans and the club. The club isn’t the shot house in charge or trying to buy it. The club may/will face further sanctions for next season. It’s going to be hard enough for them as it is. Those players will get their money eventually. Just play and walk away

They’re insured So it’s all about them then. Ask yourself would Pete skip play for city in the last two games in the same situation even if he wasn’t been paid !?? Fixtures have to be fulfilled
Poor response Chazz. Insurance is no compensation for a career threatening injury. Just ask Ryan Mason.
Bollocks. They're not in the SAS ffs.theyve hardly been putting it in for a long time. Play the game Double bollocks Awwwwwwww poor souls treble bollocks When they get their money do you think they'll chip in for Theo ones who don't get paid? Will they ****. This is the pfa peddling. Ullshit. Remember when the Pompey players got all their 40 and 50 grand a week wages and all clubbed together to pay the poorly paid staff and suppliers??? No nether do I. Play the game and get out of the club.
You’re very wrong Brother Chazz The players have already been funding the poorer ones by helping them with transport etc, and the earlier action resulted in the unseen staff getting paid If your employer doesn’t pay you, they don’t get to choose whether they work for you or not. Good luck to them
