It's not like i (OZ) ever spent any time on the forum late at night watching CAFC scores tick over was it ? Or the fact your post is 4 hours after mine lol. Disappointing kenny ! haha...
I wonder whether or not Bob is actually employed by us yet? Maybe Roland has decided to save himself a month's wages by starting him on June 30th. On the other hand if he actually is our manager now how long will it be before we actually hear anything from him? It could be he'll be on a 10-month contract, ending at the season's end, and the next manager starts 2 months later, thus saving Roly 2 months wages. Likewise he is unlikely to extend Cousins' contract now, because he is worth more now, and we can get 5 months out of him on the cheap, taking over Poyet's role, before selling him in January. Anyone got any more money-saving ideas for Roly?
Can we expect a press conference, a video interview..? I'm not expecting a razzle-dazzle affair, but some form of introduction would be nice...
I swear when I saw Ackers on an interview on ITV News about Michael Adebolajo, he's a sixty year-old man whom still lives with his mother and her cats. For someone who is "great scout" with connections, sure as hell don't look the part (it's around 5 minutes in). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jsjpa-ROvbM
Ackers lives with his long-suffering wife and kids. And he's had a book published. And he's a legend in his own lifetime. How many of us can say that?
Why? There's nothing happening at Charlton, and there seems to a news blackout there. Even Ponders has gone quiet. What else is there to talk about? everything has been said already!
Ackers has messaged me a few times on various sites over the years. He is a proper family man as well as a proper Charlton fan. That makes him a good bloke in my book.
Likely to be an exclusive with Peeters on CAFC player based on past experience, which then finds its way on to You Tube. No explanation as to why he starts so late. Another example of the piss poor way this matter has been handled. I am actually quite looking forward to the World Cup after all, things at Charlton are subdued to say the least. There is no oomph or excitement about the place whatsoever.
The newest video on there was put up 24 days ago... "A great way to end the season - Alex Dyer" so it might be time to give us something new... Going by the evidence of events so far, none of it suggests "excitement"... Bring on the World Cup indeed.
NOT 606..... Comment - Debate - Create..... Freely I enjoy being on a forum that allows real individuals to post "freely", and on the whole I think that's what makes this place better & different from the other group mentality orientated sites... I think this forum would do well to live up to the banner, and not to lose sight of that....
This evenings interview on OS does not inspire me to expect a great season. Bob's greatest achievement appears to be "survival" no mention of play offs or better. I can only dream. Survival equals a fantastic season In Bobs and Rolands eyes. Where are the Welling fixtures
Emailed my ridicule straight to the club after reading it. This is set up to be one big joke. I really hope I eat my words, but I've never felt so disillusioned.
He's been given an initial 1 year contract, shows what the owner thinks about it too, what the hell is going on at our club, biggest joke since Cardiff and Vincent Tan...
