he didn't prove your point? He did the opposite!

There is no reason not to like Nigel.

Yes he's a bit clueless at times away from home, but he's still learning and he's made us very hard to beat at home

I said I don't like Adkins but I don't make a meal out of it. I saw this opinion won't be accepted. He proved my point by not accepting my opinion.

There is a reason, I don't like him. End off, never have and never will. Deal with it.

Sharp was really poor. Not singularly, as most of us were, and yes, distribution to strikers wasn't great. We're used to Rickie dropping back, and picking the ball up himself. Sharp, though, seemed to lose the ball in pretty basic situations - just poor passes under no pressure. However, he did do well on two chances in the second half, but great Blackpool last ditch defending took the ball off his feet for both. Assuming it's still 3-0 (I turned off a while back), can't be many teams who Blackpool keep a clean sheet against. Toothless performance - let's get back on the bus (real and metaphorical) and go on the rest of the season and, apart from getting taken apart by Reading at home, hopefully win the rest of our games. COYR!

Ok lol.

The reason is you don't like him? So you have no reason.

I respect your opinion but I feel that you are wrong, we have played several different formations this season.

I didn't say formation. We are good at passing the ball around, granted. But when that doesn't work we start to hoof aimlessly and it feels like we never practise direct football in training. Look at Blackpool today, their direct tactics and them closing down was the reason they won today.

Only pet peeve tonight well two things really.. Why did he leave sharp upfront on his own second half.. and why bring on on barnard with 10minutes togo ffs!!!!!! it was viewable we missed lambert tonight.., But that was a poor perfomance.. i hope o see a much improved one nxt weekend!

I don't like his cliches and poor reasons for a poor performance, I like to see a manager slaughter the players at times (not all the time though due to losing morale). Over the Xmas period we needed him to come out after a game and say it was unacceptable and I cannot remember this happening.

Bottlers the lot of them. I wouldn't want to be in the trenches with any of them. Jimmy Case would still be kicking their arses around the dressing room now if he was still playing for us. They don't hate losing and they don't want to win enough for me. I've played in teams where the captain has had you by the throat at half time if you didn't play as if you were prepared to die for the cause. This lot just don't have any guts. Nigel had better get them fired up for next week. Being mr nicey nice is not how you win leagues.

Can take losing, it's just the manner in which we lose all these TV games. Rolling over, second to every ball, can't string a pass together, only about three players looking like they're trying. Where's the effort. We don't have a right to be top. At least go away and lock up and go for the consolidating draw.

Anyway, I'm just well pissed off with Billy for missing that penalty. Blatantly shouldn't have taken it, I was saying it before it was taken. We have had to rely on some penalties for some of our wins this season, so got to make sure we put them away. That was just a poor attempt. Could well have changed the whole game - equally perhaps not - but our confidence just went after that point.

OMG the team have a bad day at the office; their first defeat in 12 and the Negheads get on it. Adkins out!

Get a grip on yourselves, grow up and look at the league table. We are 2 pts clear at the top and 6 pts clear of third.

Please quote anyone that has said they want him out? FFS think before you type.

What a load of ****, a very very poor game. But we have had a great season so willing to move on <ok>. Staying in Blackpool over night going clubbing with a few mates and getting smashed.

On to the Pompey game, we are still 6point clear of West ham and 2 clear of reading. so it is all still in our hands <ok> COYR

What a away support we had, singing for nearly all of the 90mins. Amazing. <ok>

Just another awful performance in front of the tv cameras and the players really let our fans down today (who were brilliant all the way through).

I think we will draw a blue line under this one and focus on thrashing the skates next weekend :)

No one has said that. There is one person saying he doesn't like Nigel, and that he never has, ie. it has nothing to do with today's result. Absolutely nothing to report.

He said exactly that after the home defeat to Leicester....look at the interview link....OK, his constant cliches are a little monotonous, but he gets results and surely that counts for more than his interviews. I'd rather have a successful manager than a comedian anyday.

You can say we missed Lambert, but we just didn't get the breaks today. If Sharp had scored the penalty, they hadn't been given a generous one, and we had taken one of our other chances, it could have been 2-0 to us at half-time. Sometimes it's just not your day.

I'm not really too bothered by that result, didn't think we were that bad, and if we played that game again there's every chance the result would be different.

All this criticism of Adkins is pretty un-called for to be honest. We're still the best team in the league and I expect that's what the table will show at the end of the season!
