I thought I heard some boos on TV and Adkins put his arm round him as he came off. Hopefully, the mikes were picking up sound he couldn't hear.
I think it was more likely the Blackpool fans who thought he dived for the penalty. I didn't hear any Saints fans near me booing him, although there seemed to be plenty on his back right from the start.
Those referee's observers that compile reports on the officials? I'd love to read the one for this game. They are meant to be to help standards improve, but the Football League have been wasting their money on these paid observers for years. Billy Sharp wasn't even close to being offside, not even close. Why was Taylor-Fletcher given a penalty when he clearly fell into Schneiderlin? Are these officials upbraided for piss poor performances? Yes we played poorly, but it stems from A) Poor penalty taking and B) Abysmal officiating. The penalty goes in, Do Prado scores when Billy wasn't offside, WE WIN. Simples. (or not)
