Didn't AP say there was some business to be done by the end of this week? Think that was on the Radio Humbrside before the match.

I think he said he expected a Goalie to come in on loan and also for NB to sort his contract out this week.

agreed. maybe also offer them Adebola as NB said after the game monday that City will not play the long ball game whilst he is in charge. So that to me spells the end of Dele @ City.

barmby out then. I love long ball, so much better to watch.

There's a difference between playing a long ball game and using long balls effectively now and then. Teams that have a big striker to aim at can still play good football but can also mix it up a bit when teams like the last 2 we have played take their boring defensive stance. It just gives you another option and makes us less easy to stifle. NB clearly doesn't rate Dele, but he's shown under NP he can offer us something different when he does play.

Come on then OLM the ridiculous rouse that we are in no rush to find someone to put that roundy thing in that netty thing can be seen through like a whores lace knickers so who are we in for?

I got the impression from AP's interview that we are after a striker 'for cover' for Fryatt. So that if he gets injured, we've got someone else to miss one-on-ones. He seemed to suggest they saw no need to improve the attack as such.

Just had it confirmed again, we are definitely not bidding for Sharp.

whatever is happening between the club and sharp will be kept very quiet. i tend to think that the club do want sharp but wont be drawn into a silly bidding war and are prepared to wait and see what happens.

if what you say is true olm then surely the club should come out and say the same and end all the hype and speculation. it would not surprise me to even see Sharp stay @ Doncaster beyond january. as ive said before its an interesting situation for sure.
