I think he said he expected a Goalie to come in on loan and also for NB to sort his contract out this week.

There's a difference between playing a long ball game and using long balls effectively now and then. Teams that have a big striker to aim at can still play good football but can also mix it up a bit when teams like the last 2 we have played take their boring defensive stance. It just gives you another option and makes us less easy to stifle. NB clearly doesn't rate Dele, but he's shown under NP he can offer us something different when he does play.

I got the impression from AP's interview that we are after a striker 'for cover' for Fryatt. So that if he gets injured, we've got someone else to miss one-on-ones. He seemed to suggest they saw no need to improve the attack as such.

Sorry lads, still not allowed to post names, but we're hopeful of a keeper, striker and a winger, all Premier League, 2 loans, 1 permanent.

God! I wish you'd stop doing this!!

OK, So I assume you are NOT talking about Harper, Sharp and Hammill, is that correct?

    Is the striker Haynes?

I know it's irritating that I'm not putting up the names, but if I do, I won't be given any more info and at least now you know there is business being done.

Fine, then. I'll stick my oar in and go for an all "Peters" trio: Cech, Crouch and Whittingham (permanent).

It's a misunderstanding, Assem has got a cold and someone overheard AP saying he'd got husky.

I imagine Kightly's future will weigh in somewhat with one of the deals.

whatever is happening between the club and sharp will be kept very quiet. i tend to think that the club do want sharp but wont be drawn into a silly bidding war and are prepared to wait and see what happens.

if what you say is true olm then surely the club should come out and say the same and end all the hype and speculation. it would not surprise me to even see Sharp stay @ Doncaster beyond january. as ive said before its an interesting situation for sure.
