Nellie’s is a great boozer (pure brewed lager if I go in there...which I do)
Cornerhouse have a cracking range of scotch (and Irish Whiskey)
Went in there few weeks ago with a mate who was leaving so we chipped in and got him one which was £35 a shot
I like Beverley although I do find it a bit Margaret Rutherford at times

Every time I’ve been there it’s been ****ing mayhem.
Once got into a row with a bunch of hard looking French speaking bearded blokes who turned out to be from 2 REP. Soon put them in their place, French Foreign Legion mo fo’s. That learn ‘em for jumping the taxi queue. Happy memories.
Another time it was a coach load of Soul Crew, I ended up swedging them all over the gaff for a bit of a laugh. I recall shouting ‘who’s coat is that jacket?’ In a welsh accent as I stuck the norry on their top boy. Great times.
Then there was a team of Russian deep sea divers who got lemon, they didn’t last long. Even more pansy like then you when it came on top Bummers. Great day out.
Have to say I did get served up when I got into an ‘off’ with some Mossad lads in one of the boozers. Fair play to them, my windmilling was no match for that Krav Maga or whatever it’s called. A day to forget.
All in all a lot rougher than Beverley with it’s odd spotty squaddie from the RLC who’s learning to drive a lorry at Lecco.

No, they canned it off in about 1993. That was a nice pint. Sam Smiths bitter always made me puke after 7 pints. Never happened with museum!
Used to have some great lock ins in Nellies when John & Betty ran the place. Used to get pizzas delivered and allsorts!
