Nellie's lost its charm the day the marble table top went. Not least of all the biscuit tin till and washing up bowl for rinsing glasses
I know an old guy that raves about it.
He uses his bus pass to go from north ferribby because it's cheap.
He thinks more than £2 for a pint is expensive
He's a right skin flint

Used to do Beverley Benders when the afternoon drinking was later than 3pm in Hull then train back to town.

Me and some of the lads I used to work with in Scunny used to do the 'full board day' at Goole (a Thursday I think), the pubs opened their doors mid morning and shut at four(ish) in the afternoon, we'd get something to scoff until they opened again then back on it till closing time. The van ride home with the multiple piss and puke stops was something else :emoticon-0101-sadsm

There’s a Wethers in Beverley?

Me and Mrs G are thinking about moving to Beverley and that might have just swung it.

I have to say that some days I find Beverley very post McMafia James Norton and others it’s more like a pre Peaky Blinders Cillian Murphy.

It’s part of the attraction.
Yep it's the Cross Keys in Lairgate.

All you need to know about Beverley is I played Sunday league football for a team there , I imagine my brace against Withernsea to rescue a 3-3 draw is still talked about to this day?
I played in a County League cup winning team at a neutral venue in Beverley.
What was the name of the sports ground with great pitches and facilities were they played finals.

Wednesdays and Saturdays open all day because of the market.

Does anyone remember when the City Psyco's went to Beverley? We were all ready at YEB on Ferensway to get on the double deckers to go to an away game (no idea where) when we heard the game was postponed so we took the train to Beverley and went on the piss.
