Yet you know fine well I don't claim any benefits anymore as I've already stated on other threads.

Do you think if I was on benefits I'd be able to have constant smoke and buy myself new speakers?

I didn't say you were on benefits, I'm saying that life is relatively not so hard. You make out as if I've had it easier in life through privilege or random luck and that it is not fair - I started with **** all and had to work (in some real **** jobs at times) for everything I've accumulated, my current situation is perfectly fair.

Sunday school teacher may sound very middle class but most (certainly in the Catholic church anyway) tend to do it on a voluntary basis and they are most definitely not all middle class. Harringey also happens to have some of the most deprved areas in London.

Haringey has places like Tottenham and Wood Green, Turnpike lane. There is a whole load of Evangelical churches in and around there. Equally there is Crouch End, Highgate and Muswell Hill, where there are a lot more affluent types.

I started with **** all and I still have most of it left <ok>

Everyone should sell drugs then, problem solved <doh>

****s on benefits get pished, buy ***s, own pets, go on holidays etc ... these are not essentials in life.

Many jobs are advertised several times under different jobs codes to create the illusion of lots of available work

I used to be a manager in DWP. Obviously, I don't mean making decisions on benefits at a ministerial level but I had to make decisions on whether people were eligible for certain benefits.

Fair enough, the hysteria about Benefit fraud is a joke anyway. Sure I read recently that only 0.7% of the entire system is fraudulent.

Hardly what the tabloids would have you believe in their current war on the Working Class.

So because you managed this, by leaving the country, people here should get no benefits?

You did all your stuff before the recession, as you didn't go to Uni, should young people travel back in time so they can actually get a decent job/mortgage?

I honestly don't understand how people can be that selfish, how does it affect you that people are on benefits? It's peanuts on the grand scale of things.

ST - here's the briefing Minister - it sets out who we should give housing and disability allowance to and who we shouldn't.

Minister - Given you're wearing a Celtic onesy today I can get why you've written "let all huns rot" but why on earth do you recommend banning anyone from Bristol receiving allowances?

ST - so you've not met Gas then Minister?

If you mean a quick trip to somewhere local and ****ty, then yes, but that's not a holiday.

There's no ****ing way you're going anywhere with dole payments like that.

So, folk claiming benefits never go on holiday ...

You go to some tourist trap in Spain ...good few doleys/dole familys!

Anyway, a holiday's a holiday - regadless of where you go and it's a luxury. Staying in a caravan park in Morecambe for a week mayeb ****e, but it still costs!
