Living in Poverty.

How many times do we hear this pish? Poverty my arse.

I have no doubt lots of people are really struggling but I wish they would stop telling us how many kids are living in Poverty based upon some flawed calculation dreamed up by a statistician.

You make out as if you are poor and struggling to get by, you're on the computer every day telling me about your latest purchase of speakers or grass or LSD. Life may not be easy, but sitting there playing your PS3 or Xbox while smoking some green is hardly poverty.

Yet you know fine well I don't claim any benefits anymore as I've already stated on other threads.

Do you think if I was on benefits I'd be able to have constant smoke and buy myself new speakers?
 
We will always have poverty. It is essential. Without it there would be nothing to keep us in line.
 
There is toil to be had if people really wanted to work. Lots of people on the dole see some forms of work as below them.

6 weeks on the JSA then you can clean up your community for your giro money <ok>

If there is a finite amount of money available to the Government to spend on benefits then we should consider a Hunger Games style live extravaganza on C4 for Unemployment benefit. Losing team dies = No benefits. This would be great entertainment for the whole nation and cheer us all up in these drab times.

I agree that we have other issues - like tax dodging companies - but the dolewas designed to help the genuine in need. I don’t see it being that way anymoreas the majority abuse the system.
